Tuncay...good player. Only replacement for Sturridge (Ngog) and LCY (SWP) left and OC has his team. An excellent season would then await us.

But then so was Martin Petrov so I'll err on the side of caution before making grandiose predictions, but he's technically superior to most anyone else in our team.

When Eagles was said, it was confirmed he'd been asked something about playing behind a striker. Lee obviously got injured so that became moot however playing just off a striker might be the perfect role for Tuncay.

He's not an out and out winger or an out and out centre forward, but somewhere inbetween could be best for him.

Hope we can get him. Plus, loan with view to buy would be ideal for us.

Of course getting Sturridge back would be great but it's clear he wants to make it at Chelsea, he has no ambitions to play for Bolton Wanderers in the future or even just for a period of next season. He wants to make it at one of the biggest clubs in the league, and all the best to him, with all the ability he has, he shouldn't be at a club like Bolton. If Chelsea don't want to use him, sell him to Liverpool/Arsenal/Spurs even United, they'll all play him.

i no he's a provider did't say otherwise

we can't afford two 15 goal a season strikers unless coyle finds a few gems somewhere and let's be honest they very rarely come off

i see him replacing davo (if we get him you no davo is replacable) along side someone like n'gog but i will let you lot shoot them down in flames and we will probably end up with helguson/or raisak(spelling)
Agreed, and its up for debate if we can afford the wages of someone like SWP who, as the general consensus is on here, would play second fiddle to CYL when fit and well. A surprise search on Wiki tell me that Tuncay and SWP are the same age to boot

As for hidden gems, let's hope Eaves recovers quick. Excited to see the lad out on loan somewhere after Christmas.

At last someone talking sense, Tuncay would be a fantastic signing, can play anywhere across the front line. He was not used so much at Stoke as they play a direct style. We are going to play a more attractive passing style and Tuncay would fit this mould.

I with PlymouthW SIGN HIM UP!!

for the money we can pay (signing fee as well as wages) we are kind of limited on the quality we can pick from. We're never going to get a Rooney (don't like the guy but he's a damn good finisher) and Sturridge was never gonna be a long term option.

SWP can be an entertaining player, albeit wasteful with the end product most of the time and he usually runs around like a kid who's had too much cheap fizzy pop at a party, but I'd still take him. Keane is nearing the end of his shelf life but he'd still be a decent addition at the right price. N'gog would just cause confusion in the club shop when it came to shirt printing.

Torres quite clearly isn't working out at Chelsea, perhaps worth a cheeky punt?

Did'nt Tuncay completely run one of our league games against stoke last year? Think him leaving was more to do with a clash of prefered playing styles than a lack of ability. Would be glad to have him, especially on loan (due to age) with the caveat that we still need to get a pacy striker to play of him.
Playing Davies and Tuncay would achieve the square root of F***k all as sides would simply push up on us as they did pre sturridge.
As long as the wind blows, fortunes can change.

If we bring in Phillips and Tuncay I'll be happy.

If we brought in Phillips and Tuncay and three new defenders I'll be erect.

Tuncay may not be Sturridge but he's a quantum bloody leap forward from Cameron Jerome.

Still need a pacy striker to buzz around Davies though.

If we can get Tuncay and SWP done before this weekend (or next weekend, if the QPR game is postponed) and then N'gog done before the end of the window, I think we can be very happy with our summer's work. Pratley, Reo Coker, Eagles, Mears, Wright-Phillips, Tuncay and N'gog reads like a very successful transfer window.

Pacy striker plus Davies plus Tuncay? That won't happen, well not until the hour mark when we're chasing the game so Tuncay is redeployed in an unsuitable midfield role...

I'd be VERY happy if Tuncay did sign. I wanted us to sign him before he went to Stoke. Think he's a quality player and certainly gives us an attacking midfielder / forward who can score!

Very infrequently because they refused to play him in the correct position and refused to play the ball on the deck whilst he was there

he knows where the goal is....

for Sakaryaspor he scored a shade under a goal every two games over 66 games
for Fenerbahçe he scored a shade over a goal overy three games over 154 games
for Boro he scored as near as makes no difference to a goal every four games over 70 games

for stoke - it went a bit wrong - 5 in 44 - either that means he turned to crap OR summat at stoke held him back (style? position? manager?)

provider he may be - but it certainly isn't the only part of his game...
