Brilliant result. Delighted and what a hit by Cahill.

Aye in the days before he came to us... Get long enough out of him and we could get that in his 30's...

Most shocking thing for ne yesterday was the complete lack of atmosphere from the home fans... Not what you'd expect of a team in there first top flight game for 16 years...

Oh and tell you what... How they turned down £15m for Taarbet I do not know the guy is shit. Will be totally found out the season...

I think Taarabt was partly found out last season when it seemed Robbie Savage could mark him out of a game.

Jussi got away with a couple today................. Just saying like
Did he really? Such as?
The one where he came and didn't quite get it first half - right hand edge of his 6 yard box. Was reasonably well positioned for the fairly weak follow up shot though.
He did everything right there, he didn't need to get it. If he had stayed on his line Campbell could have controlled it and shot. Slowed him up, pushed him to the by-line, waited for re-enforcements and then got back quickly for the lay off. Tecsht book.

Agree with Prufrock.

In fact I thought that was very good keeping from Jussi, many keepers would have dived in there and conceded a penalty. It was a superb pass through and no keeper would have reached the ball. Jussi pushed him wide by coming out, realised he was going nowhere and got back in position to save the follow up shot.

Last time we won 4-0 away from home, was Everton wasn't it?

Good read Athers - thanks.

Also a belated thanks to TW15 for the preview.

This direct from Opta HQ (personal communication):
Kevin Davies 6 chances created (most over the opening weekend). Has now made 179 goalscoring chances since Aug 2009, only Malouda (201) has made more.
