Re: Us Vs The Red Scousers
Spot on assessment imo. Our best hope now would be for Tuncay to replace Klasnic and play just off SKD giving us 5 in midfieldChoppers wrote:Absolutely horrendous half of football from us.
If I could make 6 subs I would.
Full backs are getting done all ends, but especially Steinsson who is being made a fool off by Downing, and flicked on passes out wide.
Reo-Coker looked intent on getting booked early doors, and still can't pass over distance.
Muamba sub was right, but unfair on him. He shouldn't have started, and Mark Davies looks better coming on.
Petrov has been wasteful, and isn't helping out defensively.
Eagles looks good on the ball, nice skills and working his socks off, but the forwards are giving him nothing to work for, they aren't even interested in moving for the ball.
Davies and Klasnic, my goodness, embarrassing from them both. Klasnic may be lethal in the box, but he HAS to work more off the ball. I think every time he's had possession he's given it away...incredibly lazy and slow. Davies is getting nothing, and looks like he can't be arsed at all.
I really don't know how to fix this, unless Coyle gives the inspirational talk to end all talks, because we have no options off the bench apart from Tuncay up front, and both our forwards need subbing.
The manager has to take a lot of blame though, he's taking a 4-4-2 away from home to a 4-5-1 of Liverpool, we can't keep the ball and we're under constant pressure. Should have matched their formation, with Tuncay or Pratley instead of Klasnic or Davies.

Re: Us Vs The Red Scousers
Unbelievable that we're still in it. I sense a draw: 1–1, Klasnic to score despite doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for the other 89.5 minutes.
Re: Us Vs The Red Scousers
Every single time Eagles has the ball he tried to make something happen, same with Mark Davies, but both of them ending up losing possession because all our other attacking options are hiding. There was a moment where Eagles looked up to cross the ball, but there was one in the box, and four Liverpool players, and we lost possession. Same with Davies' run, he had to shoot as nobody gave him another option.
Honestly, it's not often football actually gets my dander up so much I'm angry, but that half had me raging at the TV.

I feel sorry for steinnson; he's been shite and that handball was ridiculous, but he's in a 2 on 1 every time, eagles is drifting in to pick up centre mids; again not entirely his fault. Totally outnumbered...3 years ago Davies would be hunting the left back to help out...klasnic is the further back of the two at the moment.

Re: Us Vs The Red Scousers
We're getting dicked in the same areas that we did Blackpool home and away last year. Charlie Adam's superb range of passing in behind our two weak links- Steinsson and Robbo.
Static up front though. Need Tuncay to come on. Also highlights need for a forward with pace.

Re: Us Vs The Red Scousers
thank the lord Muamba was subbed. Need to hold them off for the first 10 minutes of the second half and we can get back into this match.
Re: Us Vs The Red Scousers
Bad first half, but we're a second half team. Cue half-time bollocking and dramatic comeback.
Re: Us Vs The Red Scousers
Take Davies off he is an embarrasment today and start playing to feet.
Depression is just a state of mind, supporting Bolton is also a state of mind hence supporting Bolton must be depressing QED
Re: Us Vs The Red Scousers
Davies looks like he's been on the lash friday night. not even looking up half the time.

Wow, that's a dive and a half with extra cheese.
Re: Us Vs The Red Scousers
Feck me. The gulf in ability between us and Liverpool looks greater than it did between us and Macclesfield.

KD and Klas non-existent. So I'm presuming Petrov will come off for Tuncay at some point.
