Enough creativity, with 2 defensive mids for protection.
Spot on there I reckon

I'd rather play Pratley over Muamba..... His performances over the last two games of this season and a whole bunch last season cost us!

Whatever we'd like, odds are on it being, at kick-off:

Jussi
Steinsson, Cahill, Knight, Robinson
Eagles, Reo Coker, Muamba, Petrov
---------Klasnic, Davies

Just possibly, depending on training, we may just drop N'Gog up front with KD and leave Klasnic on the bench, but I doubt it. Tuncay might get the nod ahead of Eagles but I'm seeing one subbing the other. Kakuta will have to wait his turn and may come on late if we're behind.
(Against United and Chelsea, even Arsenal, this may well be the case. Same applies to Pratley.
Norwich could see a different set up.

In fairness Tango, apart from Liverpool away. That line up has served us pretty well so far.

Then, we have the option of Kakuta, M. Davies, N'Gog, Tuncay, Wheater, Bogdan, Pratley to bring on. Can't be too many benches outside the top 7 or 8 better than that..

Regardless of the starting XI, the bench will look pretty strong.

It's certainly looking up!!

No argument with any of that, but Knight has something more than most to prove. Maybe we should all just stand in a line across the centre circle with Jussi as keeper/sweeper in a 1-10 formation. That'd fool em.

I think folk are right about the immediate team remaining unchanged.

But we haven't just signed a 4M striker (who came because he expects to get games) to sit on the bench. So sooner rather than later he will replace one of KD or Klasnic, of that I'm relatively certain. Normally I'd say KD was "undroppable" but if Klasnic keeps scoring, I could see it, think Coyle taking him off at Anfield was a statement!

Completely agree.

If Eagles/Petrov start Kakuta may come on as a sub. Would be interesting to see if Boyata gets into the defence, there's certainly some competition for places at the back.
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

I have watched Bolton for many many years and I cannot remember a time when I would be going to the match not having any idea what the team is going to be. We now have a strong squad, hopefully OC will use when players lose form or get injured.

For what it is worth I think the current team, the poor game away against Liverpool apart, it has performed well. I think the new signings will and should earn the right to be in the team. Pratley has been made to wait, but they will all get a chance at some point in the season.

I am quite excited about the upcoming games now!

Jussi

Steinsson Cahill Knight Alonso

Muamba Reo-Coker

Chungy Holden Tuncay

Ngog

We would boss the league with this side with plenty of options of the bench. This is a top 8 side we have now with some depth and tactical flexibility. The gaffer has signed himself some players that would be much more suited for a 4-3-3 or better yet 4-2-3-1, can he break the rice bowl of his beloved 4-4-2 though? :oyea:

Sorry,
I rate him and i did see him play against FC Tampa Bay. Not exactly Barca but he gave a good account of himself and I saw him in training twice, very technically skilled player. Maybe needs time to adjust to the English game but he is talented. And I have seen Robbo who in my humble opinion is not the long term answer.

Anyone who puts Alonso in ahead of Robinson clearly is not all there!

Well since your user name is "BWFC Insane" I'll take the claim of my "not being all there" at face value.
