Re: Wanderers Vs Man U
I'd play a 4-4-2 against them for once. Due to their potential to make mistakes at the back. Davies will (as usual) absolutely murder Jonny Evans and Klasnic's movement in the box could cause Phil Jones all sorts of problems. Plus from what i've seen of Jones, he's undoubtedly a good young defender, but he can be very rash and we may, just may do the unthinkable and win a penalty against Man Utd.

Re: Wanderers Vs Man U
Much as I hate to say it, keeping Stretford out will be of far more importance in team selection than how many (or who'll do it) we're going to score past them. I love OC's attack-minded methods, but they'll exploit any gaps in defence unmercifully. Banging it up to Kev just won't do a thing with this lot unless he has support; we need to keep hold of the ball in midfield and use it but if we're going to get anything but a tonking we have to keep the ball off them and keep themout of our box. Nothing we don't already know really. With four choices up front none of them will just have to expect not to start automatically.
Davies and Ngog up front forstarters to stop them winning everything hit forward, and Klasnic replacing whoever isn't working. Tungay and Eagles to fight for the right wing slot and possibly Pratley replacing the attacking midfielder.

Re: Wanderers Vs Man U
We had a 2-2 last season.
I can't see a scenario where us being more defensive would improve on that, as we don't have the personnel or ethos to set out like an Allardyce team. And besides which, Ferguson had us sussed after two seasons of that anyway.

You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

We would have won it too if it wasn't for a bad miss by Elmander.

Re: Wanderers Vs Man U
Aye LK has made the pertinent point. We can go 4-5-1 but as we don't have the disciplined players to hold posititons in midfield or a back four capable of defending for long periods of time, it wouldn't make a blind bit of difference! Play to our strengths and have a go, all the things I pointed out before will have to go for us if we are to get a result!Lord Kangana wrote:We had a 2-2 last season.

Re: Wanderers Vs Man U
The bottom line is that titles are not won or lost in September, same WRT relegation. ManUre will have a lot of first teamers coming back from international duty and after embarrassing two London Sunday League sides will not be too arsed with little 'ole Bolton. Us on the other hand have had twoo weeks to bed in our new signings and experiment with a new formation. We can cause Man Ure problems by showing them a new look with new lads that have something to prove but nothing to lose. These new signings are much ore suited for a 4-2-3-1 than a 4-4-2. Push the boat out Owen and go for it, lad! Unleash Tuncay he always scores against United.

The strongest bench ever was used by BWFC during the years 1999 to 2009 and was installed at the direction of the UK Health and Safety Executive in case our number 4 was dropped or substituted.
The bench was sold to NUFC in 2009 and is now believed to be in East London.

Re: Wanderers Vs Man U
Ye or Cahill. Reo-Coker seems to be always talking so that's why I wanted him to have it but Cahill does well talking at the back, just that the other defenders aren't listening to him.
