I went tonight and sat in the villa end. I live and work in Worcester so it would have been rude not to.

We played well. As you all know we made 9 changes to villa's 2 and we really did play them off the park.

Villa reminded me of Birmingham city. Two decent centre halves, no creative spark in the middle who looked like they could make any differenxe and one big lump up top who was useless. Villa never forced a save from Ron Weasley in goal.

It was great to see stuey back and he played well. He didn't play in his usual box to box role. I don't think he had enough match sharpness. Instead he just sat deep in front of the back four and allowed pratley and muamba to push forward while he protected the back four.

Shearer didn't put a foot wrong.

Jamaica was man on the match for me. Some lovely touches and link up play.

Bibi had albrighton in his back pocket and made him look very ordinary.

No one had a bad game and it was good game off football.

Sounds like we were a lot better tonight than of late. Some new faces and movement seemed to help. Couple of well taken goals.

From other reports I hear that the Villa fans are pretty pissed off with their team (despite their PL points), so much so that so that some are tipping them for relegation!

We've not been great in the league but all is not well at other clubs. Blackburn's another.

Great, thanks. Eagles' goal was a blinder. I reckon he's a confidence player, so that's good news for us. And with his two touches Wheater already looked better than Knight, who wouldn't have bothered jumping for that header and would almost certainly have cocked up clearing that spilled save.

I was going to ask about Wheater, I'm hoping that he has a chance of starting against Arsenal, although I think Coyle will go with Knight just from the "experience" point of view
