We'll be nervey as fook for most of the game, but I'm going for a 2-0 win, and the turning point of our season.

0-1.. They'll score just before half time and see the game out with us having shite pot shots in the second half

Robinson and Steinsson as full backs against their wingers terrifies me more than it did at Wembley.

We need to play two left backs and two right backs.

'kin 'ell. I'd be tempted to take that, right at this moment !!

Can't bare to even imagine what the result is going to be

They will be on their 3rd game in 7 days. Easy Stoke win then. They haven't done well on their travels so far barring a win at West Brom. Easy Stoke Win then.

Going for 3-1 to the whites with Steinsson smashing one in the top corner.

I can but dream.

I think Reo-Coker has been woeful (can't attack, doesn't defend) but in theory he and Muamba should offer us some kind of bite in midfield. Tuncay was shit on the left of a 4-4-2, but he has a point to prove against Pulis and will run himself into the ground.

If we actually looked like a half decent team and drew 1-1 I'd be happy enough. Don't lose, and don't be shit.
Happy with 1-1? Get to feck, we're at home and playing Stoke, only a win will do!

Prediction 2-1 to them....and Jaws on his way back to that third world country north of the border.

The team where it all began!

feck knows, playing davies (kev) would be a mistake cos he will get feck all change. Ngog in a 451, klasnic off the bench.

Robinslow has to play I guess...hope pennant plays both matches this week.

oh itsgonna be shite, we all know that.

Don't play Davies, get it on the floor. Play him, give him some support. Not rocket science. He'll make defenders jump with him to try heading it clear, where it'll go into no-man's land and straight to one of theirs, unless there's somebody around to contest it. Get Tuncay in the Nolan role and threaten to fine them all a week's wages unless they shape. More to the point, score first, and stop them playing keep-ball in the back four (make that six) with none of ours near. Stoke will do the bully boy stuff at the back and we need somebody to run at them, preferably with the ball.

If there's one team in the league that Kevin Davies is ineffective against, it's Stoke. Well in my opinion he's ineffective in every game he plays but Stoke is his worst one...... he should only be picked if Upson is playing because he's probably the only defender in the league that can't handle him.

I'd like to see

Anything Cahill Wheater Anything
Muamba Nigel
Eagles Tuncay Kakuta
Ngog

Shitting my pants :D not looking forward to this one.. suppose the one positive is I wont have to drive 5 hours to get home after the game :) I'll try and be positive and go for 2-1 to us .. Huth for them with a header whilst fouling someone and N'Gog with a brace.

Is what I actually said. Don't believe for a minute he's finished, just needs people to realise he's a target man, not a one-man army. We should be able to switch the team around as needed but if Jussi's going to keep firing the ball as far as he can, Davo is the best man to be under it when it lands.

On the basis that we certainly have no other bugger likely to get a head on a punt, I'd agree with this. That said, as others have pointed out, KD generally doesn't get much change from Stoke.

Wilson and Shawcross both went off injured last night, which will probably mean Huth at full-back and Upson centre back (if they don't recover).

They'll bum us senseless on set-pieces

He doesn't get under it, though

And on the odd occasion he does, he's either fouled and doesn't get the decision, or he fouls and gets penalised

So, even if it aint all his fault, he's outlived his usefulness

bad feel, 2-0 to stoke. Then I think we will have a glimpse on how the management is thinking of coyle after that. If he is still around, I think they are ready for him to be there in the long haul.

I watched Stoke last night and they were really poor. We've no chance of standing up to their bombardment though. 0-2 and it's gonna be bloody ugly!
What a hero, What a man...... Ooooh, what a bad foul...
