That's the lightest penance I've seen served up in the confessional.

Man up Bish, and tell him he's got to watch every game until the end of the season and re-watch it on match of the day.

Bloody falling standards, would never have happened when I were a lad.

You know that as soon as it becomes a certainty to go down the team will buck up and win all games left so instead of being bottom we'll be third bottom. 8)

"We" being? A few weeks back, I was trying to argue that getting smashed by loads to nil every time we played the moneybags was neither inevitable nor acceptable, and that our level of cluelessness in those games was in fact deeply worrying. I wasn't getting much support from "we" then. Just a lot of "well, the gap between rich and poor is getting bigger every year" and "you can't have a survival strategy that involves getting even one single point from 10 games against the top 5, you just have to write the lot off".

It's a lonely job being right, but that is the path I have chosen for myself.

I think CAPSLOCK is also claiming to have blazed the trail as well.

F*cking leave then. Quickly. And join up for Wigan, Blackburn and Wolves while you're at it.
