it was a journamalist who did the work pointed out the actual rules on this forum....
Does the same rule apply if we've released the said player back to his host club?
Yes. Only changes if we sign Kakuta, which I doubt will happen.

Those rules, again: viewtopic.php?p=689227#p689227

We could always sign him and hope no one at the FA/PL have found this thread and it all passes by without anyone batting an eyelid

I've read rules which are much less clear.

The right to bear arms, for instance...

Would have liked Gylfi Sigurdson on loan but I see he's joined Swansea.
Heard on Talksport we were linked to Marvin Sordell from Watford, though I doubt we could afford him

Rumours about Alex to QPR for 3 mil.. If true we would be stupid not to have an interest at that price!

How much would he be on? I would have a guess that we couldn't afford him even if we wanted him.

Rumour: QPR & Wolves offer £2.5m for Nedum Onuoha.

Cmon Gaz, sign the contract, we need to replace you. Thanks and all that but let's get cracking.

i think we should be looking to sign Andy johnson he works hard quick and will weigh in with a few goals

should be cheap aswell as he is out of contract in the summer (all tho i don't know what wages he is on at fulham)

i think he's a better option than someone unknown with a fancy foreign name

He's on big money at Fulham. Most of their forwards are
"I've got the ball now. It's a bit worn, but I've got it"

I very much doubt that. KD still takes the captains armband whenever he plays, even if he's coming on as sub. I'd hate to see him play for someone else at this point - far preferable to see him play out the season with us then retire into a coaching role on our staff.

I doubt it too... but what if SheffU offered us a million squid?

meanwhile....
talksport wrote:Watford are bracing themselves for the departure of highly-rated striker Marvin Sordell, with Newcastle, Bolton and Blackburn all taking a look at the 20-year-old hitman.

Sordell has notched seven goals this season and has impressed on his six appearances for the England Under-21s.

Watford, battling to stay in the Championship, would love to hang on to the forward but financial restraints may encourage manager Sean Dyche to take what he can get for Sordell.

Scouts from both Blackburn and Bolton believe the 5ft 10in star can add to their front lines at a time when both need to revitalise their squads.

Sordell, who averages a goal every three games in a Hornets shirt, is extremely highly-rated and many experts believe he has the pace and technique to make an impact at the highest level.

Bolton hope to reinvest the money they receive from the sale of Gary Cahill, whilst Steve Kean has been meeting Venky's this week in a bid to release cash for a January spree in order to retain their Premier League status.

Then I suspect we'd leave it up to KD to decide. But judging off Coyle's comments that Davies has been "trying too hard" to turn our form around, it seems that Bolton blood runs through his veins now...

Utter madness if it's true. N'gog gets injured ( he's no KD in the tough department) and we have Klasnic (never a full ninety minute man) as our only striker replacement? If we'd signed a top striker I could maybe understand it a bit more, but at one mil sale price what's that going to do? Keep him for the season see what pans. Even then he'd be worth keeping as a squad player on reduced wages. Probably lazy journalism.

If we were to continue to play the 4-5-1 that served so admirably last night then we could probably afford to cope without Kev. Even if N'Gog were to get injured we would have Klas - and then Tuncay could at least give the role a go when the Croat tires himself out.

If it is also true that Eaves is on his way back that gives us another option up front, one that provides the possibility of a life beyond KD with a youthful front man.

Would not be happy to see him go (am wearing my DAVIES t-shirt at the moment) but the offer of £1m (if there's any actual basis to it) plus the loss of his wages would give us a bit of financial help without too great a loss.

It's probably bollocks anyway though!
