Alan Nixon - sounding quite sinister - not to mention, threatening!! (presumably aimed at palace making his "secret coup" not quite such a "secret coup"...)

Zaha is a very good young player, seen him alot since he broke into the Palace team he's quick can go pass people with ease, has his own dribbling skills ha! but effective, don't forget he's only 19 and will get better once he has matured into a premiership footballer. I see it has ambition for once but according to some reports Bolton are not happy with Palace making the bid public so we'll probably pull out now shame.

s'all bollox... it was widely known he might be for sale - Liverpool made a bid a couple of weeks ago (allegedly) - and if I know that - everyone does!!

let's not imagine it is even remotely possible that it was only Alan Nixon and BWFC who had the secret knowledge that palace might do a deal with someone while he's hot...

Suspect it's more that if Palace are making our interest known we will not be able to match the auction prices they will be after!

Probably means they are after more than we will pay.

I guess overall if we were trying to do a quick and quiet deal it's ballsed that up. And also probably doesn't suggest a great relationship between those trying to do the deals...

A lad I go to uni in Huddersfield with said he was surprised we hadn't been in for Jordan Rhodes. Said the Huddersfield manager had alot of good words to say regarding Owen Coyle at the beginning of the season in the local paper (probably something to do with the Ward deal) and Bolton wouldn't be too big of a move for the lad geographically. Nothing in this at all, just pure speculation, but thought would throw it out there.

Zaha was utter garbage in midweek. Lots of fancy jinking and dancing about but failed to beat Championship defenders and had no end product at all. Not worth a fee, won't ever cut it in the Prem IMO.

19 years old, already been subject to bids from Liverpool et al? I don't think we'll be getting him (not now Palace have plastered our interest across the net), but I think you do him a disservice there...

Sky say we've officially approached Palace about him, so the bid is in. It would now be up to Palace as to whether they accept the bid

Personally I think he's got the potential. Depends on what we do with him playing time wise if he comes to the Reebok
