Nothing surprising about this. Shame to see he's got yet another injury. Looks like this will end his BWFC career.

I'm sure he'll always be welcomed back.

Would have to say that is the end of his career at Bolton. I've enjoyed watching him over the years and wish him the best.

A couple of recent(ish) memories:

-Opening goal at Munich
-Controlling a long, early cross from Taylor then slotting it past the keeper a couple of years back. I think it was our fourth of the day, can't remember who against! I think he celebrated with the Usain Bolt pose.

I think we've kept him as a player a season too long.

He looked so sad walking round the pitch the end of last season...

Anyways if he wants it, there should be a coaching job on offer for him here.

Never understood the Gardner adulation. he's got a cauliflower arse he's spent that long on it.

Someone's going to trot out this 'great servant to the club' horseshit in a minute, I just know it.

Great servant to the club and a real shame that the last 3 years have been wrecked by injury.A fit Gardner at left back could have made a real difference.

Cauliflower arse my arse

Yes I agree, he could coach trapping and controlling the ball.

He'd be a good fitness coach.

or... Right boys - on the count of three, knack your knees and clutch your hamstrings... then hobble to the bench...

Alla little bit harsh,I'll miss his "idiosyncratic dribbling style" as the BEN described it when we signed the one legged Jamaican. Turned out to be 1 million well spent and he's been part of some very good times.
He looked useful toward the end of last season which was why the club gambled on his contract extension. It's a shame it hasnt worked out but was probably the right thing to do last summer.
