Ha—I'm certain that's sly dig from ZK, otherwise why add "...and how it is changing from week to week"?
Hmm although what i dont want to happen is for the players to jump on this bandwagon too much and use it as a scapegoat for their own mistakes / failings per game.

They must love it...it's not often where a team playing so badly has fans letting the players completely off the hook!

If tactics don't matter to Coyle, its no wonder all they do is play fecking ping pong all day - it gets worse by the day, he's so far out of his depth its laughable. His style is to send any 11 players out onto the pitch and if they play well we'll win, regardless of who we're playing or the shape and formation the opposition use - its unbelievable it really is....what exactly is he being paid millions to do ?
where does he say in the article that tactics "don't matter"?
he says they "play a part" but if the players attitude isn't right or they feck up then tactics are secondary.
same article
“Coming off the back of a poor defensive display last week, it has happened again, but I have got enough personnel now to make changes and that’s what is going to happen.

“I’m not going to sit through that again.”

When the manager sends out the wrong team in the wrong formation, the players know psychologically that it's wrong. So they play but maybe not as hard as they might otherwise do. Ask Steve Clarridge! Petrov's crosses weren't brilliant, Eagles wasn't exactly on fire, if people are saying Wheater was at fault for the goals then I'll believe them. Same thing happened at the end of the previous regime.
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

If there's no tatics then what do we need Coyle for? Scout can pick the best 11 and buy new players, fitness coach can work on fitness, chairman does budget...

AVB apologised for the Chelsea performance and took responsibilty, Coyle blames players. This interview shows the penny still hasn't dropped.

With BSA's influence West Ham have become a bit like Bolton, he's bought some ex-players and got them playing his way, battling for the Championship, getting the best out of them. Have we become West Ham?! 442, too soft in midfield, Petrov, Mdavies, NRK, Eagles wouldn't stand a chance against Diouf, Speed (RIP), Okocha, Campo, Stelios.

Here's something that might make you scream the thread title, Bish...
From Saturday's BN about Ryo:
And while his chances for the Gunners have been limited, Coyle believes he will head back to North London a better player in the summer after his experience with the Whites.

The proof will be in the pudding,” the manager said. “When he gets his chance, then you'll see what's in his locker but his ambition has got to be to go back and try to get in the first team.

really - that's beneath you. an utterly hysterical and (frankly) crassly disingenuous representation of what the article reports Coyle as saying.

if you are as right as you think you are - then you surely don't need to distort stuff/make stuff up to support you hysterically ranting campaign, do you??

It's about the third time Coyle has said that this season.

Keeps swapping players around, that he has bought in the main, and it keeps failing to improve us.

Spot on? More like complete and utter inability to admit to his own failings, and burying his head in the sand. He's a very very shit version of Wenger. And an even bigger arrogant tit to measure.

According to the quotes DSB found Coyle said 'it's not about tactics it's about players...'

Pray tell me how I'm distorting anything there.

It's not about tactics it's about players.

It's not about tactics it's about players.

He said it, not me. It's not about tactics it's about players.

Coyle says - in that article:

“Yes, it (formation) has a part to play, but the biggest thing is that when the players cross the white line they go and deliver on all the talk.”

do you really not agree with that? really??

He also said, 'it's not about tactics it's about players'

Fact.

And as I keep saying its no use saying the players didn't perform without some analysis as to why that was.

Can you say why Mark Davies didn't track his man for the second goal? Is it just that he isn't very good and a bit of a shithouse and let the team down? Or is there a 'tactical' reason behind that particular 'player failing' in that situation?

I'd told them to play like Barcelona, but when they crossed the white line, they just didn't do it. They should all be down the dole office on Monday. Fook all to do with tactics.

And even more worrying news in the B(E)N... according to them Knight is in the process of negotiating a new contract.
Surely not, doesn't this contradict what's come out of the club about all contract talks on hold until we know what league we're in next season?
