Away pubs
Are there any away pubs near the ground or would we be better off in Bolton city centre. Dont be too worried, we are just as optimistic about this one as ye are. At least ye are charging us less than half what we charged you for away end tickets.

Re: Away pubs
To confirm - The Beehive is the away pub - less than a slow pissed ten mins to the away end - and about five if soberish... It's on Chorley New Road...
Does pub food at ok prices (but dubious quality, I'm told)...
Rumour has it the landlord is a Wigan fan, so hard wired to loathe all things Trotters...

Re: Away pubs
Sorry have I upgraded ye to a city? Flying in to Manchester so I could drink there but Id rather sample the big match atmosphere than sit in a soulless Wetherspoons in Manchester.P.O.S. wrote:qprmeath wrote:Are there any away pubs near the ground or would we be better off in Bolton city centre. Bugger that, we're all watching it in the Wetherspoons in Manchester. We need the beer while the match is on, and probably more than a few after it.qprmeath wrote:Sorry have I upgraded ye to a city? Ah well if its big match atmosphere you want then the Middlebrook Pleasuredome at lunchtime on a Saturday will definately fulfil your needs! Ahem. Beehive is your only bet then I'm afraid in the vicinity of the ground, enjoy your visit!

In answer to your question, Barnstormers and The Bromilow also both let away fans in. I'd say Bromilow is a good 15-20 minute walk from the ground though.

Then ye catch the train from airport to Horwich Parkway, and there come out of ye station, get on ye dual carriageway and, looking towards ye green hillsides, ye shall find ye Beehive, whose host, and his sisters, with whom he is very friendly, shall welcome ye...qprmeath wrote:Sorry have I upgraded ye to a city? I was told they're his daughters. Re: Away pubs
Probably open about 10 considering the early kick off.

It normally opens at 11 on a Saturday.
I'd imagine they'd get permission from the police to open up an hour earlier.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
