At the risk of sounding callous, this terrible tradgedy is something that our very own club couldn't even be bothered to acknowledge until recent times.

My dad and grandad were both there that day. My mum and grandma were standing at the front gate when they got back as they'd heard about it somehow (not sure if it was the radio or word of mouth). Dad and grandad were unaware of the extent of the problem as they were in the Lever end.

Grandad, possibly great grandad on the wifes side was there.
