Re: Fabrice Muamba
As has been said, woke up this morn fearing the worst. Shown the fight he has. Hopefully that, plus the reaction of the doctors and medics will be enough. Couldn't give a toss if he never plays football again.
Come on Fab.
Come on Fab.
In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

A further update from BWFC. Fab is remains anaesthetised and will be for the next 24 hours to give his body time to recover. From personal experience this is the the norm following serious illness or trauma. They could start to bring him out of it tomorrow and see how he is getting on then.
Fingers crossed until then.

BWFC wrote:Fabrice Muamba remains in a critical condition in intensive care in the Heart Attack Centre at The London Chest Hospital.
Fabrice was admitted to the hospital yesterday evening after collapsing at White Hart Lane, where he sustained a cardiac arrest during the FA Cup quarter-final against Tottenham Hotspur.
Fabrice received prolonged resuscitation at the ground and on route to The London Chest Hospital, where his heart eventually started working.
As is normal medical practice, Fabrice remains anaesthetised in intensive care and will be for at least 24 hours.
His condition continues to be closely monitored by the cardiac specialists at the hospital.
Bolton Wanderers Manager Owen Coyle said: "Fabrice's family have asked me to pass on their thanks for the many, many kind messages of support from not only Bolton fans but also fans from clubs across the country and abroad.
"All our thoughts and prayers are for Fabrice and his family. The family would also like to thank the media for respecting their privacy at this time."
No further updates are planned at this time.

Re: Fabrice Muamba
Just want to echo the thanks for the touching comments from supporters around the world. Spent last evening in total shock as i'm sure everyone else here did waiting for news on Fab. The dread before switching on SSN this morning was awful. The only important thing today and in the coming weeks is that Fab gets better. Come on Fab!!!

Guys,
Bury fan here. We have banter between our Clubs which is normal for football, but when something like this happens we all unite.
It should go without saying that I, and every other Bury fan, wish Muamba all the best and hope he makes a full recovery.

I read the comments of everyone from page 1. . .
I'm Nigerian living and working in Ethiopia and I've been a trotter for 9 years. . .
I wish Fab a quick recovery. I was moved to tears watching him struggle yesterday. . .
A big thank you to all the Spurs fans for their love and support. We see you. We hear you.
It shows that battle for survival tops the table when life is involved. . .
Now get up Fabrice. . .!!! We need you

Official statement from Spurs:
The thoughts of everyone at the Club continue to be with Fabrice Muamba and his family after it was confirmed this morning that the player remains in a critically ill condition in intensive care.
Club Chairman, Daniel Levy, said: "Our thoughts are with Fabrice's family and Bolton Wanderers and we are all willing him to pull through. Events such as this put everything into perspective.
"We are immensely proud and grateful to the medical teams at both clubs, their response was immediate and professional. Our thanks also to both sets of fans for their support and behaviour. Too often we read the negatives about football and yet last night, at a time of intense emergency and uncertainty, we saw the true humanity and empathy of the footballing family."
Manager Harry Redknapp said: "All our thoughts are with Fabrice, his family, Owen Coyle and the Club. It was the right decision to abandon the game, everybody was in a state of shock and it wouldn't have been right to carry on. Football is the last thing on anyone's mind when an awful situation such as this happens. All we are thinking about now is Fabrice and his family."

Just like to reiterate what other Bolton fans have said on here. It's overwhelming seeing messages of support from fans of so many different clubs. C'mon Moo, you can do this.
