Football gets a lot of stick sometimes but i think the whole footballing world should be proud of how it has handle a horrible few days. From the medical staff at the game, all the support from teams/fans around the world and the media it is a true testament to how much heart there is in the game.

You stick in there Fab!

Hi Bolton fans,

Would just like to wish Fabrice a quick recovery

Football is irrelevant at a time like this and I'm not sure any player can concentrate on football when Fabrice is in this condition

Get well soon lad, for your Fiancee, your lad, your family and the footballing world

From Stoke city

It really does feel a bit like a miracle that in less than two days since he collapsed and his heart stopped beating he is talking and recognising people.

I guess everyone must know that the odds of even getting this far were pretty damn small.

Keep going Fab.

What can you say when this happens?

Totally devastating for the young lad. I don't think I've wished harder for someone to pull through.

I don't know if this has been posted but I would like to let you all know of the "fan" that helped out at the scene and recommended that Fabrice goes to the hospital where he works.

I think I'll be offering him a drink if I see him in the future.

Was a page about him in the Standard tonight. Him and the others on scene deserve the keys to the city to be honest with you

From the Daily mail web site about the man who, God willing, helped save Fab's life:

A Tottenham supporter helped to save the life of Fabrice Muamba after he collapsed on the pitch.
Dr Andrew Deaner was in the stands watching Spurs play Bolton when the 23-year-old England under 21 international collapsed.
He rushed down to the pitch and directed paramedics as they battled to save the footballer. Today he remains critically ill at hospital.
Dr Deaner is a father-of-three and a keen cyclist. He graduated from the Leeds University School of Medicine in 1987 and now works in NHS and private hospitals in London and Essex.
He treats patients with all types of cardiac disease, including those with coronary artery disease and people who have suffered angina, heart attack and cardiac arrest.
He is also an expert in pacemakers as well having a special interest in heart disease in pregnancy.
Heavily involved in the training of junior doctors, the Spurs fan is chair of the Specialist Training Committee in General Medicine for the north Thames region and a member of the British Cardiovascular Society and the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society.
Furthermore, Dr Deaner holds the post of secretary of the Cardiology Council of the Royal Society of Medicine.
As well as his position at the NHS London Chest Hospital, Dr Deaner is a consultant cardiologist at Spire Roding and Spire Hartswood private hospitals in Essex.
He is also the clinical lead in cardiology and clinical director for acute medicine at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. This is his main place of work.
In his personal profile for Spire, Dr Deaner writes: 'I was born and brought up in south west Essex.
'I am married with three teenage children, and spend much of my spare time cycling on a Colnago C50 road bike.
'Amongst numerous cycling achievements, I have successfully ridden an amateur stage of the Tour De France on six occasions and have completed the ultra-long distance Paris-Brest-Paris cycle event on two occasions.
'My other interests include travel and the theatre.'

Just arrived home from working late and a visit to the local running club. Crap day. Worse evening.

Balls to it. The whole thing has changed. Absolutely over the moon when I heard the news. Tear in the eye as my partner passed on the positive progressing news.

Come on FAB!!!!!!

The best news I've heard in 48 hours. Come on son, please make it.

Did anyone else have to take the day off work today? I'm pretty badly shaken after witnessing that first hand I have to admit. Couldn't bring myself to do the daily grind for its sheer pointlessness.

Im sure he was on his twitter the other day saying he did get on the pitch but his help wasnt actually needed and didnt get involved - and ended up being frustrated with people calling him a hero etc!

Edit - Ah just read it was a totally different doctor on twitter getting all the mis-directed attention with people thinking it was him on the pitch, no wonder he got frustrated with all the comments!

I was at Bradford Bulls v St Helens when i first heard about this! I couldn't believe it.. wasn't sure how bad or what had actually happened till i got home. I've watched the video on Youtube from the coverage of ESPN and when i hear both sets of fans singing Fabrice Muambas name it sends a shiver down my spine. Definitely brings a tear to your eye and shows how football fans can unite. I've being monotoring Fabrice's situation nearly every hour, when i go to bed and the first thing when i wake up as i'm sure you all do. Keep Fighting Fabrice.. 23 years is no age at all. We're all praying for you and good luck to you wanderers for the rest of the season. You may not win the F.A cup but would love you to stay up.. i think Owen Coyles a great manager and with you all sticking together plus the extra motivation to do it for Fabrice.. You can do it!

Best Wishes from all at Bradford City x

Awesome! It sounds like he's gone from critical to something better, which is awesome!

No need to postpone/cancel any more games, Moo'll be on the pitch soon! Keep it up, Fab!
