Goals scored the same?
Would we then go through courtesy of a better scoreline at their place than theirs at ours...? Sort of 'away goals rule', if you like?

I think it'd go to goals scored. But if that was the same I'm not sure. I'm not sure if head to heads count (we beat them by more so that'd be us). I think there could be a play off.

Alphabetical order then.
Or conkers.
Or conkers.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

To answer the question seriously: if teams are level on points, goals scored and goal difference – AND there's something at stake (title/Europe/relegation) – then there's a play-off. I think it got reasonably close one year at the top end, but hasn't happened.
Not sure what would happen if more than two teams were tied. I'm not sure the Premier League know, either.

Re: What happens if .....
Only guessing DSB, but if three teams tied I believe there would be a play-off competition. There would be a draw for a semi-final with one team getting a bye. Winning semi-finalist and team getting the bye then meeting in a final play off.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:To answer the question seriously: if teams are level on points, goals scored and goal difference – AND there's something at stake (title/Europe/relegation) – then there's a play-off.
