I am renewing mine this week,( for the 45th time) after watching them go from the old First Division, down to the old Fourth Division, watch them play Rochdale on a cold wet night at Burnden with around 1700 others, a setback like this is a nothing to a true loyal fan.
Disappointing yes, but end of the world - far from it ( ask Fabrice!!).
I feel reborn !!!! No more confussion

^ Well said, Riviman. And 45 seasons beats me by some distance. I got my first season ticket in 1993 and have been continuous since then but was always working shifts for 20+ years prior to that.

Is it actually worth getting a season ticket financially now? There is no way they'll be charging £35 a pop for Cat A games but the season ticket price is frozen.

There are more games though. Prices probably won't change either.

Yep if anything it might actually turn out to be a better saving, 4 extra games at £20-30 will more than balance out any drop in price. Going off other championship prices there probably won't be a big change in individual match prices.

Got my season ticket yesterday and not regretting it at all despite today's result. Granted there are some sets of fans I'm not massively looking forward to (mainly Leeds, also Cardiff, Millwall and for different reasons Burnley) but totally respect the strength and standard of teams in the Championship and interested to see how/if Bolton will compete.

Didn't it only work out about a £20 saving this year?

Unfortunately I wont be renewing, I have to support my new family more than my football team. I would have renewed otherwise, the league we're in isn't a deciding factor for me.

I'll be getting down to as many games as I can though.

Was probably going to get one anyway, but relegation has just about swung it. First season ticket for a few years. :D

Can't knock that logic. Just make sure you take your new family to the 'Bok when they're a few years older and we're back in the premiership :pissed:
