The tough tackling 27-year-old is available on a free transfer after letting his contract with the Jambos run down and Wanderers boss Owen Coyle is targeting a move.

The guardian has a summary of all freebies. Some interesting names. Kalou who is now out of our league (literally), nicky shorey, whitbred from naaarwich who i thought did well against us as a centre half,.danny murphy (not really an enforcer/nrc replacrment though).

Suppose that's true but I'd say a lot of the players release causes would be around 1 million or below
