Re: Matt Mills
He was shit hot for Reading then signed for us and was absolutely fecking awful.
You'll need to expand Bolton to fit his ego.
Some things to notice with Mills;
-He will get a billion yellow cards.
-He will get sent off for stupid tackles.
-He'll lose games on his own for you.
-Get used to the long ball...his goes to the keeper every time.
-He'll run aimlessly trying to call offside with his hand in the air like he just don't care.
-However, he will still win every header and make some cracking interceptions and blocks.
I hope for your sake that he can refind his Reading form.
But I really think we've pulled a fast one on you.
Good luck for the season, here's to us sharing the two automatic promotion spots come May

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

He's on loan isn't he? So if he's as inept as you say, he'll be re-joining you soon enough.Leicester wrote:I hope for your sake that he can refind his Reading form.

As for Leicester, is it just me who's wondering why the f**k you're favourites for promotion?
Re: Matt Mills
Coz they spent about a trillion quid last year.
As for the loan, from what I gather about these things it isn't a traditional loan in that sense. We'll have no option to send him back (not without large financial penalty, anyway) rather it is an accounting trick to help either ourselves or (presumably given the loss they are taking) Leicester. Ie, stick it on next years books for tax/financial fair play reasons.

As far as it's being reported down our end, it's a £2m permanent deal.
I don't think we wanted to loan him for that reason.
And no, we're not favourites for promotion.
But lets be honest, are you?

Re: Matt Mills
We should have a reasonable chance, given the size of our wage bill (even though it's been cut). I wouldn't have us favourites, but who do you think would be? And being honest, why wouldn't we be?Leicester wrote:BL3 wrote:He's on loan isn't he? I don't have anyone as favourites and i've not seen anyone say that we are. But I think we're both good bets for top 6 with the players we have.
This season about 14 teams could well win it.
(don't think wage bill = success, Matt Mills was on 35k p/w in the Championship last season and he was shite
