as wrote:Big squad needed, they'll all get a decent amount of games this term. More league games and I wouldn't be surprised if Coyle fancies a cup run or two.

As for Owen, he was bobbins last year, but he's the perfect candidate for a side chasing promotion.

More excited about this season that I have been since our first in the PL :D

Same!

I'm fed up already.

Not going to any games this season.

May support West Ham, instead. Or stick my head in the oven. Whichever is more painful.

Good point - I'll go to the reserves, to boo the kid whose name I can't remember.

But no others.

Forget Andrews, seriously
Forget Andrews and play the injured Holden

Aye, alreet

And nobody would ever pick Alonso

Not ever

Surely

Fair enough Stu's injured for now, I'm just saying that would be my starting 11 for the majority of the season.

Dunno why everyone knocks Alonso. He's young, come from Real Madrid. Maybe hasn't had an amazing time so far but we've dropped a League here! Could be the best thing for him. I wouldn't rule our Ricketts filling that left back slot, I like Sam alot, but we need to use this season to bring through some of our younger players.

'He came from Real Madrid'. Brilliant. He MUST be good then.

Although to all eyes he does appear to be fecking shite at football, can't run, can't tackle, gets beaten in the air lots for a big bastard, is constantly injured, and has a cloud of suspicion hanging over whether he will even be a free man. Let's pick him. Coz he came from Real Madrid. And isn't old.

Yes. Exactly. Exactly right. If real Madrid snap someone up he must be good. Exactly right. As a youngster it's hard enough to get scouted by a club such as Tranmere. Never mind Real Madrid.

I'm not saying he's awesome. I'm saying how is he gonna turn out any good with no games? Not to mention his own fans slating him constantly

His grandfather played eight years with Real Madrid's first team and won five European Cups with them. His father also played over 300 games in top flight football in Spain. Not quite sure Real Madrid had to scout him.

Which only means, if it does at all mean anything, that he was good as a child. You don't see many children playing top level football. That is before we factor in he comes from a famous sporting family, and so might not even have been that good.

By your logic we ought to be signing Luke Chadwick and Ben Thornley, Eagles is our best player, and Stoke can thank their lucky stars they have Danny Higginbotham.

He's shite!

At Blackburn away he was man of the match until he went off injured. There's plenty of potential in that lad - whether or not Coyle can develop it remains to be seen.

Paul robinson was superb for half a season when we were in the top 8 at Christmas.

Alonso for me is just always way off the pace. Dont know whether he will fair any better in the more physical championship.
