Phillips.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

I really, really hope and expect that's just a load of bollocks. The guy could have left Portsmouth without stealing a living from them long ago, and found a new club immediately on a decent wage. Instead he's really milked the situation for all it's worth and left himself looking pretty much unemployable.

Wouldn't touch him with a bargepole these days.

Would he improve our squad? Probably.
Would he be quick to settle in? Yup (already lived here once)

He's a defender that can play across the back four. Can't see why we wouldn't consider signing him unless it was a wage issue.

If he still has anything like the quality he had in his last spell with us, I'd have him back in a heartbeat. He was absolute class. The fact that he's a money-oriented mercenary does not make him unusual in the footballing profession.

Anyway, the only reason we're being linked is because the Daily Mail is stacked to the rafters with fat, drunken, slobbering hacks who read in The Sun that he was having a dispute with Portsmouth and then, through a drunken fug, vaguely remembered that he once played for us.
