I may have mis remembered this but didn't Souness say Curtis was actually sat in on the interview?

Straight out four-way fight to the death, Gary Megson, Mark Curtis, Sam Allardyce, Graeme Souness.

Who do you want to see still standing at the end?
You really cant lose in a scenario like this - bring it on :D

I'm here to help.

And yes, Curtis was in on all the interviews. Look where that got us.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Can I go around after the fight and bludgeon the injured to death ??
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

We loved Bruce and still do, but I think it's safe to say that Big Sam was the best manager for us in the modern era. I honestly think he'll be back one day whether Gartside is in charge or not.

Allardyce is an arse yes, but he was a funny arse, and OUR arse (that sounds so wrong).

Unless you've got a fetish for Barcelona and are only interested in 'sexy' football and not results, then you're deluding yourself if you don't want him back as manager.

I know exactly what's going to happen. He's going to get fired off at West Ham because of the supporters wanting/thinking they are Barcelona, and I'll be sat on this forum in 6 months' time asking for him to come back, as we're stuck near mid table in the Championship. Hope I'm wrong like (about the mid table bit).

If we could see the future of our club back when sam asked for more funds im sure we would have invested heavily, sadly we couldent so we hoped he would stay and keep us performing beyond our means as a club for years to come again sadly that wasnt to be as sam had aspirations of champions league and becoming england manager (which he should have got ahead of steve mclaren)

my oppinion : i was sad and am still sad about the fact that sam left and the mannor of his departure i truly belive if he stayed we would still be making a name for ourselves in and around european qualification.

The man is still a complete arse IMO. Thats not to say I'd not want him as manager. But I'd have Ferguson as manager any day of any week, doesn't mean I don't think as a bloke that he's an arse.......
Have to disagree, at least partly, with this.

Allardyce is an arse. True. But, like you, I'd have him back in a heartbeat.

Mr Alex Ferguson, however, isn't an arse. He's a cvnt. And I wouldn't want him anywhere near the club.

These distinctions are important to maintain.
So from this we can determine you prefer arse to cvnt, is there something subliminal here you are trying to tell us

Personally I wouldnt have him back, I didnt like the way he left and then rocked up at Newcastle. The time we had with him and the players he brought to the club were amazing, if someone had told me we would have the likes of Djorkaeff, Okocha, Anelka and Hierro plying for US at the Reebok, I would of said they were delusional, but that was then and this is now. Who knows where we will end up, thats whats great about being a Bolton fan, oh and the suffering :(
