There's a good chance Bolton will be in a higher league than Swansea next year, which would obviously have to be taken into account.

The one thing that doesn't work in our favour is the fact we got relegated, look at Charlie Adam, there were news stories saying he could go for anything between £10million - £16million and then eventually he went for £7million once they got relegated

Wolves went down with us and look like they could get 12 million for Fletcher and have turned down 9 million for Jarvis. Us and Wolves are different from clubs like Blackpool IMO.. the yoyo clubs are easier targets for clubs to buy from.. especially when there players are unsettled.

I read that the £9m bid was £6m down and £3m add-ons. Also, Wolves have just sold Kightly to Stoke for about £1.5m, with which the Stokies are delighted.

You're right though that - at the moment - we might be seen as in a better position than Blackpool, what with having been a Premiership club for 121 of the last 124 months.

However, mark this: the season starts before the transfer window shuts, and a player's career is short. For what it's worth, I think there's a good chance Swansea will be relegated... arguably a better chance than there is that we'll be promoted. Either way, they're up there and we're not. If we're not looking good for an instant return, you could hardly blame someone for wanting to move on up - and Coyle's back on the old Cahill treadmill of "we'll never stand in a player's way, but..."
