It's been a whole lot more than just one game...
Spoiler alert: it's Coyle.

Indeed its been 18 months since OC temporary morale boost/keeganesque style wore off.

He does not know how to turn things around

BBC uses Press Association figures, which have it 14 shots to 11 in Burnley's favour with 7 v 5 on target.

Not that that makes the performance qualitatively any better, mind you.

Really? I'd like to know what they define as a shot on target.

Think you're right Norm won't be too much of a sacrifice to miss it! Wouldn't it be great if they gave us something worth seeing?

No excuses really, on paper probably the strongest team in the league.

Waiting till 2-0 down before making changes is the same old story.

To me, looking at the teams in the Premiergreed and those in the Second div...sorry, Championship (how the leagues are named is farcical) the Second looks a darned tougher prospect.

Sure, the Manures, Citeh's and Chelskies are in the Greedleague, but which of the following would present an easier game? Reading, Wigan, QPR or Burnley, Southampton, Leeds etc?

It's gonna be a hell of a scrap, and can't see anyone running away with it. Wonder how much will be available via web streams?

Positives:

CYL got 90min
Afobe and Sordell looked bright up front
Bogdan picking up from where he left off last season
Maybe a much needed kick up the arse to some players (and fans) thinking that we would 'walk' this league

Negatives:

Midfield never showed once for the defense so long ball was the only option.
Never looked like we would score.
Defending as a team - shocking as per last 18 months.
Couldn't string more than 3 passes together.
Andrews and Mears were very poor IMO and Mavis never looked interested.
I could go on but it will sink me further into my bottle of beer.

So the team get a wake-up call that no team will roll over.
Burnley had more fight. They closed down our players and forced errors which there were many of.
A note Tim Ream cannot/doesn't head a ball which is going to be an issue in this league.
What was impressive was the breaks from corners.

Where the fook does this strongest team in league on paper come from ?????????????????
We're nowhere near the strongest team, either on paper or on the ferkin pitch !!!!!!!!
Still at least we've a nice home and away kit, and the training kit looked ok on the tossers on the bench, pity about the crap in them.
Born to be a Wanderer!!
Some say Wisdom comes with age, I may be the exception !!

That's really worrying. You can play four, five or six in midfield, but if they don't want to get and use the ball, you end up with Zat Knight in control.

I doubt signing some low-browed clogger would help much in that department, either.

Team looked uninterested, unfit and essentially like they have absolutely no intention of playing for the manager!

its coz they dont know what the feck he's on about..

his interviews are bad enough. imagine them (teamcoyle) telling you (a player) what to do every day.

that "we dont practice on positioning defence" shit that came out after about two weeks , had me wanting to get shut almost straight away..

fecking sammy lee has more of a clue.
