"Yes - which bit do you think is wrong?"

Just your unbelievably low expectations!

Your post would suggest you are happy that we won 11 games from 46?

Ironically 2 more draws would have kept us up.

You've misread - I would've sacked him last October.

Last season we managed 6 draws... the lowest in the Premier League.

What's more.. 4 of those came in the last 3 weeks of the season.

In my mind... that's Coyles' fault and primary factor in our relegation.

I didn't go to Burnley on Saturday.. so I don't know how bad the performance was, but I did go to a handful of the pre-seasons and I saw absolutely nowt that gave me even the slightest hope of a successful season.

Like many have said previously, the players looked unfit & disorganized.

Half of me is hoping for a better performance tomorrow evening, the other half is .... well, lets just say if things don't improve.. this might be the time to put some pressure on the management team.

Changes need to be made and made fast.... but how long have we all been saying that ?

I'm 'fairly sure' promotion isn't decided after the first game of the season, or even the first ten games.
I think the way it works is you earn points for your results and they make a table with the team with most points at the top. The one with the most at the end of the season wins the league. So promotion is decided after the last game. However points earned in the first ten games can give you more chance of promotion than if you earn jack shit and teams who start the season will are in a better position to get promoted than teams that dont.

I never said I wanted coyle sacked especially after one game. I'd rather he was a success than not. But I do think ten games in it will be quite clear whether he is making progress.Too much of what he has done over a prolonged period has been difficult to understand. If there are signs that he is getting the players organised and motivated and results are reasonable I would expect he will get more time but if results are poor and the players continue to look unfit and not bothered then I expect provided there is a reasonable and willing replacement set up coyle will be on his way.

Ten games in is long enough to give coyle a chance but also short enough for a new manager to get us up if this squad is good enough. It'll be a tight division so there is the luxury of time for coyle, more than ten games would be too much though.

It means we'll miss out on the play-offs and Leeds, Sheff Wed, Derby and Notts Forest will be the main contenders.. Because they are absolutely humongous clubs with vast, country sized support!

and dont forget that fanstastic goals for massive clubs also count double, triple in fact against small clubs who have no place in the footballing pyramid.

I'm lucky-the mocking has been minimal. Most of the usual wisecracking jokers here are Liverpool fans so they're keeping their heads down too.

They probably mean he was just a bit less crap than the rest. B.N ratings give them:
Bogdan 7,
Mears 5,
Rickets 5,
Ream 5,
Knight 6,
Chungy 4,
Davies 4,
Andrews 6,
Petrov 4,
Davies 5,
Sordell 5.

Only consolation; if we'd still been in the Prem all those would be minus 2 and we'd have lost 6-0.

The Kevin Davies and Tim Ream marks are very kind indeed..

They'd get a 2/3 from me..

Quite right too. And Ream especially would be luck to get that.

K Davies certainly did far less positive things than LCY for example.
