Yet another international break due in about a months time, wonder what situation the club will be in by then, 5 games away I think?

Why? No guarantee that the 'new' manager we bring in would do better.officer_dibble wrote:Yep. Bang on the money. Never want us to lose but I can see the benefit. If he's gone by October we'll have a shout of a decent season.bobo the clown wrote:dangerously close to that horrible moment when you actually WANT a defeat, for the greater good.officer_dibble wrote:Cant lose on this one.
Cos anything other than a win for bwfc and owens either getting the boot or very nearly getting the boot.
I guess, like myself & many others, you can't actually want it, but things are so dire that you begin to think that way.
At this point, like tossing the coin, you do know, deep down, how you feel.
Pfffft.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: The Season Starts on Saturday.
Trying to think of the last time I wanted the Wanderers to lose a game. Prickson apart it has to be from the Phil Neal era. I think we were playing Swansea at home and in time honoured tradition when we needed a result (ie a defeat) we got the win and he kept his job for another week or two.
I don't want us to lose this Saturday, I don't want Coyle out.
I want him to get it right.
Perhaps we'll see some 'Murray can inspire us to win' cobblers in the BN today.
Let's see some passing, let's see defenders standing up to attackers, let's introduce the players to each other so they at least know each others names.
If Coyle goes it'll only be another duckegg that takes over.

I'm not asking you to 'think outside the box' I just wish you'd have a rummage around in it once in a while.

If we're winning, and playing football to do it, I wouldn't care if Lofty the Lion was manager.coffeymagic wrote:Trying to think of the last time I wanted the Wanderers to lose a game.

Well I get to see my first match ever live on Saturday (coming from Australia and all), so I guess I'll be the one person in this thread who is excited and is looking forward to the match!

Sorry Coffey, but things are too far gone for me to get behind your rallying cry with anything even approaching conviction.

My first game of the season on Saturday so the season really does start here for me. Virgin season ticket not yet used. I was driving down to Devon for the Burnley game and getting very infrequent text updates for the Derby and Forest games. Can't say I'm gripped by football fever yet but we'll see.

Get behind 'em!
Actually you'll probably be able to fit in a full lifetime of Wanderers emotions on Saturday. BWFC-EXPRESS! Some cheering, some booing, some joy and some soul crushing desperation.
Hopefully not in that order.

Make sure you have a few pints before you go in the ground. You may just need it.pagey_BWFC wrote:Well I get to see my first match ever live on Saturday (coming from Australia and all), so I guess I'll be the one person in this thread who is excited and is looking forward to the match!

Cheers for all the well wishes guy.
I tend to feel all those emotions in the first 15 minutes while watching a game on tv back home so I have no idea how I'll handle it live!coffeymagic wrote:Hope you have a great day.pagey_BWFC wrote:Well I get to see my first match ever live on Saturday (coming from Australia and all), so I guess I'll be the one person in this thread who is excited and is looking forward to the match!

I think I'll need a few just to calm the nerves to be honest!malcd1 wrote:Make sure you have a few pints before you go in the ground. Any pubs quite close to the ground? Maybe I should just take a read of Mullayos thread again which has been particularly helpful.

We are going to kick their ass.

Yeah! And then we'll play football and lose

No further excuses. They either start to look organised or there should be one hell of a fuss kicked up until Simple Simon goes.
