I'm not defending him at all but given his extreme lack of goals, the lad probably has non-existent confidence which certainly doesn't help when we throw him into games we need results from. I think he should be dropped to the reserves for a while (assuming he's not already) to see if he can get some goals and confidence.
It's not surprising his confidence is low when a loanee keeps getting in the starting lineup ahead of him is it.

Sturridge kept getting in ahead of Klasnic yet he managed to score, as did Elmander. Hmmmmm maybe its just N'Gog.

That being said N'Gog has just had a header towards goal (improvement....)
Yeah but you're comparing him to players who have major experience, N'gog is only 23.

David N'Gog tried to something he wasn't quite capable of, said Jack Dearden

Shooting perhaps.

That there's some corner of a foreign field
That is for ever England

He's only just come on. He's not useless, He holds the ball up well.
i was kidding but We need a striker who scores goals.
Well we haven't had an out-and-out goalscorer since Michael Ricketts... I'm just wondering why other teams keep finding the likes of Charlie Austin, Jordan Rhodes, Ricky Lambert etc. (cheap players who score shed loads of goals) and not us?
Coyle found us Ngog, Sordell and Afobe ( Expensive players who don't score shedloads of goals), its a new tactic !!!!!!!!!!

I can only think he's a lazy sod in training. It's quite incredible how little game time he's had.

N'Gog may 'only' be 23 but still has less than half the League goals than Sordell has scored (who is 19 by the way)...

Making the point with people lamenting the fact we don't have a scorer.

Not blaming Jimmy, he didn't spend 3M of Eddies money on him.

Wolves defending their lead now and are we shot shy or what? Making the chances but ...oh, Davo caught offside. Doyle off for a defender. Free on the edge of the D for us ......and........
Petrov...Eagles? ...goes wide...for a corner. No joy but we're really pressing now.

well - it is established fact that he DID get goals at this level - and you criticised Coyle for not playing him... but he's still not being picked...

Bolton are simply not clinical enough from open play. Sounds like they have played very well tonight. Gutting
