But I thought the consensus on here was that he was a shit 'keeper who isn't fit to lace Al Habsi's boots, and that Lonergan should take his place?

I think you'll find, like lots of things, there was no consensus. I distinctly remember typing something along the lines of he's alreet but will never be one of the greats, and I remember some distinctly took issue saying he was shite on toast, some agreed, and some thought the sun could/does shine out of his fundament.Sponge wrote:DIPS wrote:Was superb last night.

Re: Bogden signs new contract
Bogdan was initially light years ahead of where Jussi was when he first made the team
He then tailed off and should've been dropped
Oddly, under Coyle, what should have happened, didn't happen
The lads head had had gone and it kept getting battered at
Thankfully, he has now escaped the clutches of BL3 and seems to be slowly getting it back together

Basking in the warm glow of being right.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

Re: Bogden signs new contract
i am pleased the wotsit is now getting the recognition he deserves asan excellent keeper
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.
Re: Bogden signs new contract
Nice to see Lonergan on the bench last night, well ahead of schedule. Barring injuries, I fancy it's going to be a period of good development between the posts. Two quite different keepers, both with good credentials, both contracted 'til 2015, being pushed to compete for the jersey.

Mind you, I'm not too sure about this Bogden fella!

He's admitted it once ... & you look it up. He never posted between 1pm-5.30pm on Saturdays.James B wrote:do you really think bl3 is coyle caps?

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Hadnt noticed Lonergan had sneaked onto the bwnch. I'm sure we will see him at some point given the ever changing team selection.

It had been on the desk for five months but he's only just decided to come for it.si2008 wrote:Adam Bogdan signs new contract keeping him at bolton till 2015

You're certainly not alone there.officer_dibble wrote:Hadnt noticed Lonergan had sneaked onto the bwnch.
For my money, he's a decent Championship keeper. Bogdan isn't as good at commanding the box, Lonergan isn't as good a shot stopper, but with the right coaching who's to say which will prove the better option.

Re: Bogden signs new contract
Bogdan is number one and the future. Lonergan is backup. Al Habsi should have been kept instead of Jussi - if this had happened AAH would be number one and Bogdan backup. But he wasn't. One day Bogdan may outshine AAH but he hasn't yet.Enoch wrote:You're certainly not alone there.officer_dibble wrote:Hadnt noticed Lonergan had sneaked onto the bwnch.

Al who?
For now it's Bogdan or Lonergan, who's the better, time will tell.
I hope Bogdan is the future, he's a bit younger, that of itself though isn't enough.
