Well all that would have made sense if you hadn't missed out the most important word...fcuking.Prufrock wrote:I don't like 9. It's f*cking untidy. Although 'imperfect tense of the 2nd person singular and 1st, 2nd and third person plural of the indicative form of the verb to be, also the future (and some other one that I can't place, imperfect?) subjunctive in the 1st and 3rd person singular' probably doesn't fit. And marks you as a bit of a dick.

And, of course, 14 should have been "a f*cking result or the bringing about of one".

bookends wokingham, had it not been for him nearly dying a Bolton book never would have and never will be in a bookshop in Berkshire. one miniscale positive to come out of a massive disaster, mind you he seems to be reovering well althoughhis numeracy seems to have dipped a bit from what i saw during the cup draw, none the less i cannot be critical as he is still much more intelligant then i am.89bwfc89 wrote:Brought it where?
I saw this pic on twitter and thought of you straight away....(thank you bolton boris). You can refer to it when you need to Dan
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.
Re: Fabrice Muamba
Didn't know this before, but there's a doc about Fab on ITV4 right now in their sporting lives series. So far largely a potted version of the autobiography, but still good.

Watching this doc...actually welling up in parts. I know its a cliche but it does put stuff into perspective like whinging about team selections.

The chants from when he was down... I wasn't watching that day, I was reading this forum and the BBC, so this is the first time I've seen some of that footage. Very moving to see it

Re: Fabrice Muamba
When watching on the TV initially there was confusion over what was happening. Then as they didn't show shots of Muamba receiving treatment you could tell it was serious. But the commentators weren't saying what it was. At the time I remember initially thinking "perhaps his knee has popped out or he's snapped his leg and its come through the skin" or something like that.Bruce Rioja wrote:Which chants were they Fella? Then suddenly there was a spine chillingly horrific moment where I just heard some of the crowd shout "keep going, keep trying" and suddenly it dawned on me how awful what I was watching actually was.
There were various shouts of keep going to the medical staff trying to resuscitate him, and obviously fans of both sides chanted his name.
I didn't see the documentary last night. I've not watched the events since then, and I don't think I particularly ever want to.
Re: Fabrice Muamba
I found it very moving to see large sections of the Tottenham support joining in with the "Fabrice Muamba" chant. It is really warming to see that opposing football fans can come together like that. I also thought that Owen Coyle came accross very well in the documentary too, his bits were obviously filmed after he had lost his job as he wasn't wearing anything with a club logo. Shame he wasn't as good as being a manager as he is at being a decent chap!!!bean wrote:Agreed.officer_dibble wrote:Watching this doc...actually welling up in parts. As you said, I was referring to the chanting of his name... especially the clip of what seemed to be spurs fans standing up to encourage the chanting. I knew about it at the time of course, but I hadn't seen the clips before.BWFC_Insane wrote:When watching on the TV initially there was confusion over what was happening. Tough going seeing those ESPN pictures again, even with knowing that it turns out alright.
Big regret of mine that the day of his return to the Reebok I was working in London and managed to get there just 2 minutes too late.

To be fair, even Moo himself was whinging (& quite rightly) about his lack of selection ... 7 re-raised it when his book was issued.officer_dibble wrote:Watching this doc...actually welling up in parts. I know its a cliche but it does put stuff into perspective like whinging about team selections.
So if he's good enough for him, it's good enough for me !
Very moving documentary.
His wife's got a big arse mind !!
Just thought I'd mention that important point.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
