You'd just be putting off the misery, possibly only to suffer worse at a later date

I've been putting it off for long enough but I suppose I'd better head out for the Reebok. I will undoubtedly return an angrier man.

Bogdan, Mears, Knight, Ream, Alonso, Andrews, Spearing, Eagles, Pratley, Chung-Yong, K Davies

That doesn't exactly fill me with the joys of mid-winter.

You can bollock me later if I'm wrong, but you might just be coming back with a big smile.

Bolton Wanderers

• Bolton suffered single-goal defeats to two of the Championship strugglers either side of Christmas (5-4 at Peterborough, and 1-0 at home to Sheffield Wednesday), but have not experienced three straight losses at this level since December 1999.

• The Trotters have given away an unrivalled 21 points from winning positions so far this term (D6, L3).

• Should they let in one goal, it'll be the 2,500th they will have conceded in home league football.

Aye, like we're going to let in one goal.

Has there been a worse Bolton back 4 than this in the last 15 years? I'm struggling to think of one :(

Thought Andrews was injured? Who's on the bench?

Shows how we lack creativity and how much we miss Mavies.. Andrews, Spearing and Pratley as the hub of midfield would hardly strike fear into opposition defences.

Eagles needs to play more central, he is no winger IMO and would give us some creativity in the middle.

Usually i'd look upon that lineup with despair. However we've been so categorically shite as late I have no issue with any of it, the only 2 players who've been worth there salt (Knight/Eagles) start and the rest SHOULD be fighting to prove their salt. When clubs go through a poor spell the fans automatically get on the managers back, for once I think we're in a situation where the management are actively looking for a solution to our woes but once the team cross the white line there's not alot else they can do.

Feck it i've already bought tickets to the game on New Years so I hope we thrash Birmingham and give me something to look forward to this week!

I'm certainly not a big fan of Pratley but for once it could be a good decision ? He works hard, chases after the ball and shows determination. We need to be playing with hungry and determination.

Midfield looks better than last game.

Can't understand why Ricketts is on the bench. All I can think of is a) we're selling him or b) he's not as attacking as Alonso.
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

No N'gog again then. He's sure not the most reliable for avoiding injury. At least Sordell might get another shout.
