As for Holden it's a pay as you play only, he's sponged off us for two years now and doesn't deserve any other form of contract at this club.

So why did Sean Davis get such bad treatment from the fans but Holden, who's been out for a similar if not longer period, get treated like some form of God? Let's not forget he was injured when he first joined us as well. It shouldn't take two years and numerous setbacks to come back from such an injury. Some people are just not physically made to hack it.

Obviously it's not his choosing that he's injured but we simply can't be carrying players like him at this club when we're £100m+ in debt.

Yeah that's ruthless, but this is a business, and I support the club of Bolton Wanderers not individual players. We don't have the time or resource to be happy go chappy, shipping thousands of pounds a week out of our beloved club, to players that can't contribute to the side for two years.

The sooner the rest of you realise that, the sooner we'll be out of this mess.

it is because are fans are desperate if what happend to Holden happend 5 years ago he would be treated just as badly as davis but a good few fans (who I do not agree with) felt Holden was the best player at the club then. I think we should get Gutherie hopefully on a free (as he has been Reading best player this season apparently and sell Holden as soon as he is fit

further evidence that we are doomed if we do not go up this season. those that are bold must stay, those underlined must go, the rest I do not mind.
Stuart Holden must go?

two years we have been paying his wages for nowt 2 years and it is very unlikely that he will come back as good as he was, look at Ricky Gardner got injured lost quite a bit of his pace and therefore was no where near as good player especially when apparently players like Gutherie who is better is likely to be clubless soon

Dan, I'm not sure he can be blamed for having his leg broken, but this has already been covered. What would people think if we'd said feck u Stu and your broken leg, off you pop, sort yourself out. There would be outrage!

Guthrie is better than Holden.. hahahahahah

Holden was has his leg snapped by a horrible tackle from Evans.. he was a massive player for us and it was no coincidence that our form suffered when he was out of the team.. Its not his fault he was injured and he has worked hard in the states to get back fit. fecking clueless you Dan.

Are you Postcode in disguise? Ended up in Trafford by mistake or summat?

Davis played about 3 average games for his 3 year contract money (likely a fatter contract than Holden too). Holden has played a damn sight more for us. I'd also argue Holden is/was a better player. We don't know if Holden will make it back as the player he was, but he's still young enough for us to invest in for another year or so to see if he can. If Holden comes back half the player he was he'll be better than most of our current midfield options.

But no, lets discard him and laugh at ourselves when he plays 50 games next season for West Ham in the Premiership

so you are saying here and now that you can all guarantee that he will copme back and tear this league apart considering how good you all think he is. if so I am very worried considering Gutherie was playing for Newcastle while we got relegated I think you are wrong. he was a one bright spark in a very poor team that stayed up so if you think Holden is better than you will be proven wrong. we are all assuming that Holden does actually comeback full stop which is still not guaranted

why would Sam sign him when he has never played for them. it is more likely he will be at Megsons next team then anything

No, no one is guaranteeing that at all. Are you guaranteeing that he won't come back and tear this league apart? If so, more fool you.

This is the same Danny Guthrie that was so amazing we didn't bother to keep him after his loan spell right? who then was sold by Liverpool for 2 Million to Newcastle who eventually let him go for nowt.

no because if he does (assuming that he omes back in the next few weeks) then that would mean we would get automatic promotion and give Cardiff one hell of a go for their money which just is not going to happen unless a lot of other things go are way (such as signing some good players and dumping some sh*t ones)

yes but I presume Megson is not goona turn up at a premier league club considering how much everybody haters him (I have already said what I think of Megson and it is not similar to what most Bolton fans think)
