Look on the bright side, Ipswich are already out which makes Freedman > McCarthy.

Not sure how accurate it is but commentators "very impressed" so far. I'd be more impressed if we hit some leather goalwards. Ref getting some stick from the commentry box.

Commentators just said he couldn't believe a club the size of Sunderland could only name 6 subs

"About 300" brave souls have made the trip. Come on lads, give em (and us) something to cheer. Here we go again. We started well again and the desire seems there but the final touch not. Makem attack cleared then Gardner wins another free kick. Likes these this fella. Oh....it goes just inches wide after a low effort.

Sordell getting good comment and wins a free kick that goes nowhere. Whites are hassling well but without any real reward going forward. 17,505 is the crowd figure in this massive stadium. Afobe releases Eagles but he's just short of it. Sordell and Afobe seem to be working hard. Alonso makes a good charge forward but slices his shot well wide.

I think you might have missed a few zeroes off the end of that. After all, Sunderland are massive, and their fans are absolute die-hards who never miss a game...
