I predicted 4-0, not good enough...

Wow a moment of optimism. Let's hope it continues, as it's been a long while since that has happened for us.

The start to the game is what I want to see more often. We put ourselves down too much. We have a squad full of players who would walk into their first 11, so lets play like that. Show a bit of arrogance and dominate them, rather than play into their hands like we did in parts of the game. This game showed the good and bad about us, but hopefully Freedman will learn from this and build upon it. We don't have to be a negative, defensive team who have 10 men back. Play to our own strengths and if we do, we can beat sh*te teams like Hull.

Dawson MOTM? We're not committing too many forwards, but who cares? Wheater deflects the ball for a corner and...it's headed away twice by Dawson then Knight gives away a throw. Here we go, four added minute? eh. Hull come again and win a throw. Has to be that good day now regardlesss. Wheater gets a let-off from the ref after penalty appeals. Medo getting positive comment as Craig Davies wins us a free kick. Cleared but Bogdan does the same. Hull get a late corener, short and Speearing clears. I'm calling it a day, avery good one, at that as the dog's staring at me and the rugby calls. Well done the Whites as the whistle goes. :oyea:

Definitely! Can't go five unbeaten and certainly can't win two in a row!

Just back. What a wonderful day & result. Such a nice change :D

The opening 10 minutes was as good as you'll ever see from a Bolton side. Ever! We were passing and moving like Brazil, with some neat intricate play. The 1st goal was reminiscent of the Dutch's total football - do not miss it tonight.

MotM for me was Mark Davies. He looked like a Prem player again. The whole midfield were outstanding though in the 1st half. CYL, Spearing, Pratley & Ngog were just too much for Hull to handle.

That first 10 minutes was just all out surreal, scoring with our first three attacks and hitting the post with our fourth. Certainly shows Dougie CAN mix up his tactics if he sees fit.

Must admit we seemed unnecessarily nervy for the last 20 minutes of the first half, and we only really picked up again second half when Hull pulled one back. I know it would be a huge task to maintain it for 90 minutes, but the way we played for the first 20 minutes and after the fourth was the first time we've really played like a Championship team (in the most positive sense), pressing high up and the field and forcing Hull in to mistakes, while managing to retain our shape and counter attacking quickly.

Not the finished article but any stretch but a bloody good start all the same. The first goal was as good a move as you'll see anywhere all season.

This has never before deterred me from going.

Today, I really can't be arsed. That's worrying.

Well done Cptn Chaos & Dour Dougie.

If we win by 4 and play magnificently I will claim it's all my doing.
Well, it was 'only' by 3, but I'm claiming this one.

For a fee I'll stay away on Tuesday too.

In a fit of magnaminity I'd rather they won like this than I see it, so despite missing the best result since Stoke at home last year I'm not miffed, just relieved we ARE capable of good performances.

Just back home and drove with a smile all the way back to the coast.

Some great individual performances today, just a shame we couldn't keep a clean sheet. For me, Spearing was MOTM and outstanding for 90 minutes.

I felt for Sordell today. Neither the referee or liner indicated that Dawson's header had crossed the line as far as I could see, so for me, the goal was his. I got a tad frustrated in the second as we sat back and let them have too much possession, inviting them on to us, but overall, a great performance and the tactics were spot on from Dougie.

Bring on Tuesday night!

Linesman gave the goal for the header. Definitely gave it.

Thought we did enough today but still let ourselves down at times. Game was over inside 10 minutes to be fair. Then it went scrappy.

Interesting system today with a diamond in midfield and Ngog playing behind Sordell. Worked well IMO.

Sordell was poor though and if he did strop when coming off then it won't do him any favours. He was taken off because he didn't hold it up enough.

Davies and Pratley were both superb. Spearing just behind also excellent. Craig Dawson, shows us what a proper centre back does.

We are far better when Ream is not involved!

Not so much a strop.....just a head down, lethargic walk off.
