Life before Pyke's Lane.
Although not strictly Trotter only related, in fairness to LLS's efforts I'm moving this here from Other Footy as I'm not sure how many read there.

Having read through that, I concur.

Great piece, Spotty. I love stuff like that. My crin is blithered here though: And what’s more, Wolverhampton Wanderers have a four-phase plan in place to redevelop their other three stands. Really? They've only just been bloody well built?!
Therefor I hereby nominate Moulinex as being home to the shortest-lived redevelopment. Unless, of course, you know different.

Good stuff, Spotty. However, as one pedant to another one can slip a disk but surely not a mortal coil - that has to be shuffled off.

Apparently so Bruce…

Phase 1 was the rebuilt Stan Cullis stand.
Phase 2 will be the rebuilding of the Steve Bull Stand over a two-season period. Work was initially set to begin in summer 2012 but has since been postponed with no revised start date yet set.
Phase 3 is planned to be the construction of a new top-tier on the Jack Harris Stand, that will connect it to the new Steve Bull Stand.
And Phase 4 is a tentative plan to completely redevelop the Billy Wright Stand in a move that would bring capacity to 50,000
So yep, it would undoubtedly have been the shortest lived redevelopment ever, but by the looks of things they've ground to a halt on phase 2. I think they were still hoping to be in another league...
