First touch like an elephant with trampolines on his feet.
But he's winning me over through effort, application and the fact that he clearly gives a shit.

Is there? Cos I thought the reason was because he rejected a contract with them during the season and signed for us instead in the summer instead.SmokinFrazier wrote:He's just little more than a hard tryer at a better level. There's a reason why Swansea didn't want him for the Premier League, despite him playing 40 odd times in the Championship, including the play-off final.
I like him though, but he's not skilled enough for the Premier League. He never will be a regular up there.
Re: Pratley
I wonder if Curtis Fleming might deserve a bit of credit for all the hours of coaching he's put in with the squad. That and Freedman's man management skills would be my guess.

Possibly. How many hours has he put in? And what's he coached?Enoch wrote:I wonder if Curtis Fleming might deserve a bit of credit for all the hours of coaching he's put in with the squad.

At least 30 hrs per week. And he's coached football.
I'm not sure what he earns, or what his job description is. But let's give him credit.

So, presumably he was putting in a similar shift when we weren't doing quite so well as we are now. Are we to lay this at his door too? Call him a c*nt?boltonboris wrote:At least 30 hrs per week. And he's coached football.

If he's got a sister, we'll just abuse her. Then apologise via twitter.

Re: Pratley
Couple of utter w*nkers sat behind me in the North Stand. Never seen them before, hopefully never will again. Turned up 10 minutes late, and the first thing they said was "Zat Knight is f*cking shite". Nice, thinks I, good way to start out.
A bit later, they decided to start bad-mouthing Pratley. I told them to stop being daft, and that he's been really good the past few games. They responded that he's no footballing brain, and that they'd rather have anybody from Moss Bank Park instead of him. I shook my head disbelievingly.
Yon shitehouses then decided to spend the entire second half shouting bizarre, sarcastic Darren Pratley Is Amazing chants and songs. Some folk are really idiotic.

It's always pleasing to see a bit of wit.
Probably a bit silly of me to suggest the improvement within the club since October might be down to coaching. Most likely divine intervention.
I'm now firmly in the f*ck Curtis off to the back of beyond camp!
