oh dear...boltonboris wrote:Mowbray's comments were baffling and stunk of bitterness and pressure. They're playing shite and he needs to shift the blame:
"I thought we deserved more than that and we needed a better official to referee the game because there were some bewildering decisions out there today. The penalty was one of them and the sending-off was certainly one of them.
"Bolton started the game well, which they always do but I thought we had a decent foothold in the game and then they got a goal through a cross which just drifted in, but that's the way our luck has been going at the minute.
"I thought we were the better team but the history books will show that we lost. They won't show that we conceded a lucky goal and then a penalty, which having seen half a dozen times was never a penalty kick, but that sums up the referee's performance."
I'd rather support Bolton than be you.

Joke comment from Mowbray

Re: Middlesbrough to the slaughter!
I don't think Knight is as bad as some make him out to be, couldn't play in the prem mind but has been good for much of the season. I think Ricketts is decent championship player and don't think he's a weak link really, was just beaten for pace for the goal. One other thing was Dawson's passing was very bad, he gave it away much more than usual. Maybe he's been told to play worse the last few games so WBA don't want to keep him
He was still mostly good defending.
I've seen the penalty again and it looked like there was minimal if any contact so you can understand Mowbray not being happy, however them being the better team is way off, they were just as bad as most teams we've played. They only had the two pacey wingers but no striker. Bikey looked their best player when he came on.

Re: Middlesbrough to the slaughter!
Echo what most folk said. Didn't miss our absentees as much as I thought we might. Medo and Pratley put in commendable effort.
Booing Butterfield before he'd come on was just bizarre. What a set of fcukin muppets.
Easy to be critical of first half, but we could have had goals.
All in all, decent day out.

Re: Middlesbrough to the slaughter!
Read a couple of forums, every person saying the booing was a joke - which I agree with, I was fuming at Leicester about it as well. Anybody brave enough to own up I wonder!?

ESL, I made a point of saying out loud that I thought it was a joke fans booing and got shouted down by a gimp two seats and a row in front who told me I don't watch enough BWFC?
That's the type of fans we have now at the games

Re: Middlesbrough to the slaughter!
Thats what premiership football brings unfortunately.
We should of pushed for a third 70-80. We had the better players and a man advantage. We didnt and got edgy/nervous last ten. Ricketts was getting skinned every time. It was entirely understandable.
We have two right backs injured and butterfield was the best going on loan deadline day. He is gash but he's in for a reason. Ricketts might even be injured as well! Who knows!

It only seems to be at the Bok though, have not seen any booing at away matches under DF.TKIZ! wrote:ESL, I made a point of saying out loud that I thought it was a joke fans booing and got shouted down by a gimp two seats and a row in front who told me I don't watch enough BWFC?

The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.
Re: Middlesbrough to the slaughter!
Shirley, if you had been watching enough bwfc recently you would have seen 8 consectuive home wins with 5(?) consecutive home clean sheets. Which should really be enough to stop fans booing a sub coming on (when were winning the game!). Listening to some of the moans around where i sit some fans wontb be happy until we win a game scoring all of our chances with 100%.possession and 100% pass accuracy.TKIZ! wrote:ESL, I made a point of saying out loud that I thought it was a joke fans booing and got shouted down by a gimp two seats and a row in front who told me I don't watch enough BWFC?

Re: Middlesbrough to the slaughter!
Apart from anything we have won our last 11 home games so booing is in excusable, wa**ers.

Re: Middlesbrough to the slaughter!
Never thought Zat Knight would get so much stick for his performance yesterday.
Those blaming him for the goal yesterday want to think again. How is covering for a right back that got skinned his fault? I suppose if he'd held and the winger got into the 6 yard box then that would have been his fault too.
Damned if you do damned if you don't.
Ricketts was at fault for not stopping the cross. Good management decision to bring Butterfield on to give extra cover shame the ESL crowd didn't see this tactical decision. Clueless.
edit: P.S. It was Zat Knight who set up Eagles for his blinding goal too!

Re: Middlesbrough to the slaughter!
Another victory, another average performance.
We couldn't make our overall supremacy count in goals - very dubious pen and a fluke. I don't criticise Mowbray for his comments... Tho Boro nowhere near the better side...
Pratley my MotM (didn't think I'd ever write that - but pleased to). followed by Medo. They worked and worked. Excellent!
Booing Butterfield - obviously an attempt to give him confidence as he comes on to help make it safe... Some of our fans are total shit-for-brainers...

True. Read someone wrote about Eagles getting more love away than at home, could say the same for the whole team by the sounds of it!bwfcdan94 wrote:It only seems to be at the Bok though, have not seen any booing at away matches under DF.
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

Re: Middlesbrough to the slaughter!
As losing manager, pretty much what he'd have to say to shift any blame from himself. No big surprise.boltonboris wrote:Mowbray's comments were baffling and stunk of bitterness and pressure. They're playing shite and he needs to shift the blame:

Too true and it seems to be getting worse at home. Heard a bloke moaning after the game that we'll get spanked every week in the Premier League with this team.Beefheart wrote:Shirley, if you had been watching enough bwfc recently you would have seen 8 consectuive home wins with 5(?) consecutive home clean sheets. It's more than that Bish. It's about reveling in the fact that we didn't play well but won. Something that seems to have worked well for ManUre this season.thebish wrote:bloody moany season ticket holders...TKIZ! wrote:Too true and it seems to be getting worse at home.
