A report from Yerkshire about Leeds & Matt Mills
Leeds United can't afford Bolton's Matt Mills

Bolton have still not received a firm approach from Leeds for Matt Mills and, given the wages he is on, is it any wonder?

Although Mills is desperate to link up again with Nice Guy Brian, and Bolton are anxious to offload, there's no way in a million years that Leeds are going to stump up twenty five grand a week in wages for a rank average defender. Is there any way the deal will be done? Only if Bolton agree to meet 50% of Mills' wages until the end of his present contract!
I think guesses about earnings are always just that, guesses, but though that's a lot I'd be beggared if we should actually PAY Leeds to take him.

Maybe, if Mills is that desperate to re-join his old boss he takes a wage cut ? No, that'd be crackers.

Tell you what though .... I'd have swapped him for Warnock (the player, not the manager). The imminent arrival of 2 new full backs sort of renders that out of the question of course.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

"Wanderers will look for a fee in the region of £1million, money which boss Dougie Freedman is planning to use to buy West Bromwich Albion centre-back Craig Dawson. Baptiste has already agreed to join Bolton in July after reaching the end of his contract with Blackpool".

This is a rumour which isn't going away.

B-hell, if Mills is holding this up then someone shoot him.

Isn't that roughly what we pay Knightmare, too?

Well Knightmare managed to play most of our games last season - not convinced Mills would get in, in front of him, fully fit.

Agreed, I think Knight is broadly okish at this level. I mean he makes mistakes, but he was part of the defence with Dawson that looked ok. Given we've got two big fecking full backs coming in that will hopefully make us more solid down the flanks, I'd be relatively chuffed if Knight and Dawson were our centre back pairing next season.

Yes there is Wheater but nobody knows where he is at fitness wise and also we've still not seen him play all that much for us.

Being linked with Haris Vuckic at Newcastle on a season long loan.

Remember him coming into the Newcastle first team scoring a screamer and being talked up big time. Then he had a knee injury I think and missed all of last season.

As I've said before .... the more you find out about what happened under that guy, the worse that sod appears.

He found Holden and borrowed Wilshire and Sturridge. These were undoubted successes .... other than that did he get ANYTHING right ?

If we are looking at a midfielder then you would think it is less likely that Spearing will be coming back and maybe we will be moving Andrews on.

Then again.. maybe he is just a replacement for the injured Mark Davies.

BeN....
FABRICE Muamba has sent a word of warning to former team-mate Marcos Alonso as the defender looks to start a new career away from the Reebok Stadium.
 have we taken fab on a some kind of enforcer??

But is Haris Vuckic better than Simon Vuckevic, that is the question.
