Re: Club Rebranding
Lets all keep saying 200k dead quick
Doesn't seem like much then, does it
When you see them turning the floodlighting down to save money, you realise 200k isn't the pittance some are trying to make out
Probably pays the wages of Zak Clogh, Chris Lester and a few team mates
From what I hear, its plenty more than 200k, as well
I do keep forgetting though that we're not running at a loss and we've got sponsors queuing up to jump on board

I agree with you in so far that 200k is certainly not to be sniffed at, and going without for a season, or letting a charity have it probably isn't the best idea. What I'd like to know is what the difference was between this lot and the next highest we could have got. If it's a lot then, grudgingly, fair enough.CAPSLOCK wrote:Lets all keep saying 200k dead quick

If the total IS £200K then the margin can't have been huge.Prufrock wrote:I agree with you in so far that 200k is certainly not to be sniffed at, and going without for a season, or letting a charity have it probably isn't the best idea. Come on Caps, spill.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Club Rebranding
Morals & footy dont gel well together so if they were paying plenty I'd be happier with Nestle, Rio Tinto or Coca Cola. None are quite as naff as Quick Quid. Only Wonga or Ocean Finance would be more embarrassing

I dunno, just one thing I read in amongst loads of guesses - pasted it below (DRL is Appliances Online)
I work at DRL/ao. Garty was in yesterday talking with MD. it is on the cards but isnt anywhere near done yet as wanderers facebook says.
one of the directors was telling me though that it is on 500k for a season as the main sopnsor, or at least thats what we have been offered

Re: Club Rebranding
Well yes but those three are massive companies and don't exactly need to tap the Bolton market! Though I'm not sure Rio Tinto is particularly consumer facing :/Harry Genshaw wrote:Morals & footy dont gel well together so if they were paying plenty I'd be happier with Nestle, Rio Tinto or Coca Cola. Re: Club Rebranding
Football clubs need to learn that the club crest is part of the core identity of a club, not just some throwaway logo. Everton have decided to ditch their new club crest already! They'll wear it for one season only before starting the whole process again this time in consultation with their supporters. Palace on the other hand, did it properly and consulted the supporters throughout the process. The result is that they now have a new club crest that is universally popular.
