Whilst I'm not inclined to be enamoured with companies such as QuickQuid, I don't find them any more distasteful than say Quick fit. A company that lures in unsuspecting punters with some catchy TV advertising and then rips them off in any way it can.

At least with QuickQuid everyone knows it's a short term loan company and what they are entering in to. The average granny that puts her trust in Quick Fit has no idea how much they're going to shaft her for.

Yeah it's a valid point. I mean quickquid are hardly a secret. You get a short term relatively hassle free loan with the caveat of a high interest rate.

The fact that people fall victim to this sort of thing is not actually the fault of quickquid but of the economy we find ourselves in.

I can imagine plenty of people use quickquid and the like to their benefit and re-pay quickly as cash flow improves.

They aren't really taking advantage of anyone in the way portrayed. They exist primarily because there is a market there for them. And people are suffering because the market exists, not because quickquid are in it......

I think we we spoilt with a relatively cool sponsor for years , smugly looking down and laughing at others with their crappy ones...and now we seem resigned to a succession of short term deals from naff money-rich betting & lending companies. Might as well get used to it, can't do a petition every time someone does something you dont like. We need the money after all, it's not like we're borrowing money off them...i imagine that 500 grand is ours to keep!

The outrage on the facebook page is definitely interesting. A sponsorship deal is very give and take. But it doesn't look like the deal will be doing them any good with a reaction like this!

There is outrage on there about every single thing that happens. I strongly suspect that those people that bother to comment all share the same brain cell!
