It was reported to be .... still can't quite believe that's possible.thebish wrote:cool! - that was to fund the Dawson-to-Bolton deal!ChrisC wrote:Mills to Leeds is gaining momentum. 1 million deal.
Just hope we get the old ducks in a row.
That said, if he is on proper premiership money and DF doesn't fancy him then get what you can. At least it frees up the wage.
Ream next if you ask me (OK, I know you weren't). I think Dougie sees some potential in him, but must be aware he's a serious weak link.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Which is an interesting point
Mills has a decent reputation in this league
If he's only worth 1 million, what has Dawson done to be worth 5...a price I think most would be happy to pay
2 million less than we got for cahill!

Leicester fans think he's shite, our fans think he's shite, plus he's had a load of injuries. Any decent rep is a thing of the past. £1 mill would be great.
...
Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
Well Dawson was a lot better here, which matters a lot more than their reputation elsewhere, added goals and has youth on his sideCAPSLOCK wrote:Which is an interesting point

Cahill was worth a lot more than what we got for him too, the contract situation is what led to that price.
Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
I'd happily pay the £4m for Dawson, he's worth that amount and we know what he can do defensively and attacking wise. 4 goals in 12 appearances.
Spearing back as well would be great, as for attacking mids, how about Jose Baxter from Oldham?

£4M really? I think Dawson is good. He's nowhere near the quality of Cahill though.TKIZ! wrote:I'd happily pay the £4m for Dawson, he's worth that amount and we know what he can do defensively and attacking wise. 4 goals in 12 appearances.

And we're a championship club, with not much money to spend. We need a solid centre half granted, though Baptiste can play CB as well as RB.....
But yeah I don't think I'd be throwing £4M at him. Too many other positions to fill as well!
Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
Just personal opinion BWFCi. I think it's one of the transfers we need to spend money on and I know Baptiste can play there but a back four that has Dawson in it is likely to have us challenging for at least the play-offsBWFC_Insane wrote:£4M really? ITK bish. ITK.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

Aye, Bish. Just hypothetical from me. I have no idea how much Dawson is likely to cost, pure out guess work

How kind of you TKIZ, you're a real fan.
Getting paid shit loads at your new job then?
Leaves Dougie to spend 10 mill on a 20+ goal a season striker

Maybe the club are panicking and are putting this season as the most vital to get promoted then if we don't all the investment will stop. One last push ?

Well I've had a nose around but I can't find the lying duplicitous bastards anywhere. I did stumble across this though:

If the Purple People Shafters were happy to advertise beside other bottom feeders, what's so wrong with QuickQuid? Anyhow, at least their logo is reasonably tasteful.
A big '["Well Done"]' to anyone that can find and post the Purple folk's board.
This may have landed in the wrong thread!
