Re: Club Rebranding
Certainly too soon for them to change a sponsor, I heard somewhere a while back it was on sale on the 9th so it sounds about right.ChrisC wrote:Strange.. It was suppose to be early June. I can understand people not wanting quickquid as our shirt sponsors, but interesting where people draw the line as there didn't seem to be any complaints about 188 being our sponsor (from a morality standpoint anyway). Online Gambling - ok, Pay day loans - not ok apparently.

Well, if that means no more drummers then at least something good has come from this.Tals-biggest-fan wrote:"Booth's Music has decided to withdraw our long-standing association with BWFC as we do not agree with the ethics of "pay day loan" companies" - @BoothsMusic

Take us down Phil with dodgy decisions.
Make us a laughing stock with dodgy decisions.
At least you are consistent.

Re: Club Rebranding
Exactly. What a fecking bonus. Well piss off then, Booths. Your withdrawing your support will harm the club just as much as me switching allegiance to Harker & Howarth will hurt you. I further trust that they'll be refusing to take future payments by credit card in a consistent show of moral indignation!

Re: Club Rebranding
On the 4pm news the story of the fans protest was one of the lead items, but no mnetion of it in later bulletins. Is it cos there were only half a dozen folk turned up?

Re: Club Rebranding
I'm appalled by the decision which shows incredibly poor judgement IMO. I just won't buy the shirt and I hope no one else does. Aside from that, I don't think it merits much more of my time.

Just seen the pictures. You could hardly call it a protest. More like a small gathering, or a small group milling around.CAPSLOCK wrote:About 30

Re: Club Rebranding
Quickquid chooses us because they think we are a perfect partner for their market - dirt poor, no class, no space for ethics...
Just a prole northern town with poor people so desperate they can be super-exploited... And we are the right kind of club to help them do it...
They are right...
I find this depressing...
The fact that so many on here don't is even more depressing...
