If Bish's writeup is anything to go by we're due win or a draw.

I'd settle for the latter y'know.

Yep - any ideas where it will be on?
Wasn't Haymarket Sports Cafe decided as the go-to licenced premise?
I'm trying to get there as I'm darn sarf too.

I'm hoping we'll set up to go at them. They're weaker this season and we're stronger this season so we could really do with an early goal. Anyone know if Austin will play? I know he may be going to Forest but I wasn't sure how early.

This is the line up I'd like to see (bearing in mind that Knight will have to play as he's captain):

---------------------------- Bogdan ---------------------------------

Baptiste --------- Knight ----------- Wheater --------------- Tierney

--------------------Andrews-------- Medo ---------------------------
------ Chungy ---------------------------------- R.Hall --------------
--------------------------- Eagles -----------------------------------
-------------------------- Beckford ----------------------------------

Oh dear.

At least he can't book KD as the teams warm up.

Wonder which of our lot he'll book first ?
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Not a clue! I'm staying near canary wharf and have to be at the Excel in the morning but should be free to get pretty much anywhere in time for kick off.
Pru and I were talking about meeting up for a few for the game. 12.15pm right? Get yersen up Holloway Road (if that's where we're going. Which it might not be)

Who have we got to come in? Chungy isn't fit so that is why I put Eagles on that side. I think the front two will be the main two this season. Ngog keeps the ball well which will bring the likes of Eagles and Hall into play up top and feed Beckford. I can't think of a better attacking lineup in the league.

I don't think he'll play NGog and Beckford. NGog hasn't had a minute pre-season and Beckford has had a half of football combined.

Think he'll play one up with Andrews in midfield.

We only have Ngog, Beckford and Cravies (who has played mainly with the development squad in pre season)

If not what I suggested, then Ngog to start and Beckford to come on second half.

And Eaves.

I think it's likely NGog starts with Beckford coming on for him.

Can't see Eaves playing much at all this season unless we are short with injuries.

I think he does aswell, I just think Beckford and Ngog will get the gig for most of the league season. Maybe use Eaves in the cup games and late on when we are seeing a game out.

Well.... "First Match of the New Season" was originally about the first match of the season  It wasn't supposed to be the official match thread, but it being named as it is, I can see why people are getting confused. Pick one 89er and stick with it! 8)
