Who cares! What does Alan Nixon say?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

The Bolton fan at the local pub said he thought that we will get Rhodes by loaning out Sordell.

He might be imaginary (I have only seen him twice since we have moved here even though he lives a few doors down from us.

I'm even more surprised to hear its a season-long loan. And this is the second year running that Moritz has only signed a one-year contract with one of Dougie's clubs.

I certainly sigh when I go to Oxford, in fact I have not been back their since my mum died in the John Radcliffe and do you know what I don't want to go again either, maybe I should reconsider but it feels like a tainted City to me.

I rarely post in here but find myself reading this thread almost daily just because it beats having to trawl through the internet looking for all the latest rumours, and with no access to newspapers or news from local people because I live in Taiwan, but every single time I see someone mention that we are signing Rhodes even half seriously I die a little bit inside.

There is absolutely no chance that 1. We can afford an £8m+ transfer fee, given we are currently in our worst financial position for quite a few years, and there is no guarantee if Premier League football next season, added to the pretty obvious fact that we have been scared to spend money all summer. 2. We can't afford his wages, which are no doubt ridiculously high already, and would need to be increased by us for him to want to come. We had to offload Sordell to make way for Moritz and most likely 1 other cheap player (hopefully a central midfielder or just a good defender.)

It would be incredibly stupid to sign Rhodes and so many levels, we are just not a club who can afford to make mistakes like Elmander and everyone Coyle signed anymore.

The squad so far I would say I am half satisfied with. On first glance I would say we have a half finished midfield, with injuries destroying it, but thinking about it I am more than happy to see some young players be introduced. Seeing Gregus and Vela given more time can only be beneficial to the club in the future, because even if they suck, someone like Blackpool might go all Chris Basham on them. I'm bored of us having young players, or signing young players and being too scared to play them until they are playing like Rooney, Agbonlahor or Walcott in the U21's. The defence sucks dick, and there's no point talking about Dawson anymore because we won't be getting him, but there must be someone of similar ability out there that we can bring in. We not only look too weak in central defence, it's been evident in our pre season, and no one seemed confident defending, which always manages to turn the midfield into nervous wrecks as well. We don't need any more strikers, and if he is up for selling Craig Davies then I have to question why he even bothered to sign him in the first place, and I don't want to start questioning his decisions yet. I'm sure Davies won't be sold though as he is a good sub late in the game.

I do think we are 3 experienced/good players in central defence/midfield from having a complete squad, but I don't think we will be getting them.

Lot of sense there friend, you should post more often.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
