Re: Adam Bogdan
Very, very talented young goalkeeper lacking in a bit of experience and the nous that provides, and perhaps would benefit from an older head around him, both on th pitch and on the training ground. A centre half with a bit of presence would be a massive benefit. With the raw materials at our disposal it would be as much our fault as his if he doesn't develop into a fine keeper.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

don't really know - but the manager (we'd have to hope) sees them both in training and is ideally placed to judge, no?BWFC_Insane wrote:I was more questioning if Lonergan might be a bit calmer.......thebish wrote:i'm sure in an ideal world there are not many positions that we couldn't improve and we could say "wouldn't it be nice if..."
truth is, though - we have to prioritise given the lack of cash we have - and Bogdan is not so much a disaster as to place him anywhere near the top of the list of things we would improve first if we did have the cash...
i don't think he's gonna be the difference between promotion and not promotion...

Think his shot stopping is a way behind Jussi at a similar age too.
Biggest problem? No. But far from perfect.
how many teams in the championship have a perfect goalkeeper?
Wigan's # 26?

Re: Adam Bogdan
I said it during the match.
I'll repeat it now.
Tis simple, if I was the greatest goalkeeper on Earth, having Zatfuckingknight standing in front of me would permanently destroy my confidence. He's nervous, he's every fxclin right to be.

I'd prefer a thirty year old Schmeichel (Southall), but so would Moyes. Bogdan's ok and anyone behind a Knight/Wheater pairing would be a touch apprehensive.
P.S. Knight and Wheater can both do a job, not at the same time though! Bogdan's above average for a Championship keeper, albeit he's played behind a less than inspiring back four for most of his Bolton starts.

Re: Adam Bogdan
;ussi was a jittery f*cker at times, so he's the perfect replacement. Jussi also benefitted from years behind a solid defence. Its no coincidence that people started to question him when the defence became less consistent when Allardyce left.

Re: Adam Bogdan

Obviously it was the Fanta comment that amused.
Re: Adam Bogdan
I think with Dawson and Wheater at the back Bogdan would look like one of the best keepers in the league. Sadly he has that clown Knight in front of him.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

I'm on about Jussi in his prime not towards the end of his reign
I also remember people saying on here last season that Knight was winning the over

While combined with Dawson he performed well. He does need that good one by his side though.plymouth wanderer wrote: ...... I also remember people saying on here last season that Knight was winning the over
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Adam Bogdan
knight is fine with the right partner... i don't think wheater is it! i remember knight being ace with rickets while cahill was out with his blood-clot...
