Watched the highlights when got in from the match and think Dougie said he just rolled his ankle. Said it was a sore one but that Eagles was already bemoaning being taken off in the first place

Got to say i'd feared the worst when he walked round to the away stand and back towards tunnel.

Bemoaning?

Fecks sake. Lad took a knock and went off.

Fairy and all that shite is unnecessary.

Once again one of the few players we have who can actually create something. No need to have a go at him at all.

some pretty hard invulnerable types on here

from what I saw he had his ankle stamped on - when he had the trainer on. when you see it on slo mo I was surprised he carried on. and then it looked like it gave way when he was trying to get dribble on the edge of their box.

ergo no blood or break = soft git

Remember I play Anchorman, he would of defiantly stayed on in the days before subs however he is one of our best players so here is so he has my vote of confidence. Now to dig out that bit I did about him when everyone hated him and I said I thought he would do well last season...

It's a long, long road with many a winding turn.

It's the BWFC nerve shattering game.

Hope we forget this one and move on although our lack at the back in the centre may haunt us AGAIN!

Our defence should improve when Wheater has had more game time. He was poor today but it was his first 90 minutes since West Brom, I think, so he's not going to be at full fitness or mentally ready for the pace of a competitive match. If we do sign another defender, Knight is the one who should be dropped.

Pleased with a point considering how little football was played in the match. It was a battle. We stood up to it. Was never going to be anything else, really was it??

First half, defence was poor, second half all excellent. Pratley was stand out player for us.

We lacked width and genuine pace. Which is a worry. Beckford made some proper runs and in time, we'll see them and find him.

Despite what Sky made out (like it was a miraculous underdogs performance from Burnley) we were worth the point and though our better spells in the game were much more threatening than theirs.

Andrews. Just what does he do? Game completely passed him by.

I like the look one thing. Players switching positions and slipping in between banks. Pratley, Lee, Eagles and Ngog all did it and we created counters and chances from it. We used to do that under Coyle when we had that good spell.

All in all, relatively positive that we got through that with a point. We wouldn't have done 12 months back (I know, I know)

I know its only one game but surely Pratley is worth a squad place?

Like you say, it's only one game, but he certainly impressed. He managed to do what nobody else could do for the entire game. Pass accurately to a front man.

As I said earlier in the thread, wasn't that what he was originally broughjt here to do (sorry, perhaps I should say that's what he could do when he was brought here)? Ie be the top end of midfieldn make late runs into the box, link up with the striker - a la Kevin Nolan?

And a bit like Nolan, if you take that out of his game, there's precious little left.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Yep. The issue is that if you have Medo as the holding player, who does the up and down job Speed used to do?

Dougie is playing a very similar system and shape to Allardyce, or did yesterday. But the issue with Pratley playing in the 'Nolan role' is we don't have the players behind him as it stands.

I said it when he signed but i would prefer baptiste at centre half over one of knight/wheater. Quicker. Mears at rb.

Pratley was the dogs yesterday. Best player onthe park.

Andrews was fecking useless.
