Bairds had a solid top flight career. Butterfield was a championship player who was in a top flight squad for a season?

Worth a dabble if he's relatively quick. Cant recall.

Is he the one who made his debut or similar in the FA cup final Davo was left out of?

Rumours here across that Pennines that are upsetting the Elland Road faithful is that Middlesborough are in for their striker Ross McCormack. Not that the move has much to do with us directly but the funds generated by the move could pay for the transfer of Matt Mills, be it a loan deal or something a bit more permanent. Again this is just from what a friend of mine told me at five a side (who has no itk sources at all, just from posters on a similar thread to ours). They believe McDermott's grand scheme is to bring Mills in as competition, and ultimately a replacement for Lee Peltier and would be fast tracked to club captain. All conjecture obviously but Mills does seem to have gone missing entirely from our first team plans.

It's only 4 weeks since they spent £11 million on getting him back. Amazing.

But he's not a million miles away from Danny Butterfield, is he?
Butterfield was a very cheap end of season loan to plug a gap. bit of a mistake
Can't see us touching Baird.
fixed that for you!

Nah, it was a cheap end of season loan to provide cover. Nowt more to it. Just a shame that Butterfield had played so little football before and was out of nick. But it was a case of grab what you can at the time and hope it works out ok.

Phew. Thought we were in for Ross McCormack for a minute there.

I don't often have the skinny, but I can rate Scot players if you need it done. :D

Dougie on fair play and transfers. Again he doesn't sound a happy man to me.

Doesn't sound like he's railing at Eddie, just the FFP.

Has a pop at Coyle though and mentions Nick Powell... also interesting that he's been trying to loan our players to PL clubs!

No harm in trying. They are probably the only teams able to afford the wages.
