Bit of good news in the fact Scott Parker signed for Fulham and not QPR. They still have some great players at this level. Austin and Johnson up front only need one decent chance each.

And you can bet our defence will present at least 1 golden opportunity to them. We'd best hope our forwards are on form

Its only QPR. We're talking about them as if they'd already won. They're shit away from London and will have a small following, so no danger of their 12th man. And who've they got in their defence?

On paper they have a frighteningly good group of players for this division.

Will depend on their spirit over the season I guess.

I hope dougie doesn't roll up with the old "beaten before we start" attitude...

I'm sure he won't. However after watching us be second best on 3 occasions against less fancied teams (see bookies) I have no reason at all to believe we'll beat the league favourites who have man for man a better squad than us. I'm going to continue being a miserable negative bastard and expect the worse until I see something to make me think otherwise. Positivity leads to disappointment. :hang:

This game will kick start a 33 match unbeaten run that will push us on up the league. 3 draws in total with 30 wins.

Zat Knight will score 2 in that run, and we'll keep a clean sheet away from home.

All because Nat is coming home.

Man I'm tired.

I like the symbolism, thought 30 wins and 3 defeats seems to work better to me? I'd take that though :D

Probably a couple of others I forgot about. Not bad, but certainly think they can leak a goal or 4.

Yeah. Its nonsense to say they have a significantly better squad than ours. They were spared by a late Stoke goal 2 years ago, and then went down last season after changing to a supposedly significanntly better manager.. How the f*ck is that significantly better than anything our lot could muster? What have I missed?

As I said in an earlier post, it's their strikers I worry about.

Our front four ain't bad, theoretically. But under the formula BW-QP

BW [Our likelihood of scoring, expressed as:] - QP [Their likelihood of scoring, expressed as:]
(Our ability to score - their ability to defend) - (Their ability to score - our ability to defend)

I would fear we'd end up in the minus.

It looks as though Ngog and Eagles will not make the starting line up for this weekend
http://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/article/free ... 08207.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Therefore, I am going to go with the following team;

...............................Bogdan.......................

.............Wheater......Knight.......Ream...........
Baptiste.............................................Tierney

....................Medo...........Spearing.................

...............CYL..........................Moritz...............

...........................Beckford................................

Bench - Lonergan, Odelusi, Hall, Eaves, Davies, Ngog, Mills

I think the 3 at the back system can give flexibility to the full backs to move forward with the right and left CB moving to give cover and one of the DM staying back to give cover down the middle.

Moritz isn't match fit and I think the defence there would be a case of too many cooks, although I understand why you've put an extra one in there. Would be interesting but personally don't think it's likely.
To me it's just a greater chance of a mistake leading to a QPR penalty/goal. And we'd be swamped in midfield, so can't agree with that. We need to start taking it to the opposition.

I understand Vela played for the U21s this week. Is he fully fit? I'd rather have him starting in front of the defence than Ream as a 5th defender...that is if Moritz is not match fit yet.
