The girl I sit next to went for a drink about 2 mins after half time only to find the shutters down, but they're giving away free pies, weird.

Seems they're supposed to volley the ball out of their hands onto the target, which was a full 50 yards away. No-one even kicked it hard enough to get within 20 yards

could have swore I heard the announcer say hit the target after 1 bounce, but feck me, Pat Jennings in his pomp and the wind behind him would have struggled

How is giving away food that would otherwise be going in the bins a pathetic idea??

The only issue with the idea, if any, is that I imagine there's a lot of people more in need of it then people coming out of a football match but it really is a trivial matter.

Anyway, the giving pies away idea is pathetic

Ahh, were they handing them out generally? I hadn't realised that. As I was walking out down the concourse two young girls appeared with a cardboard tray of pies asking politely if anyone would one. As to be expected, Mrs Scutter of Bolton, on gaining confirmation that they were indeed FOC, pushed others aside to grab as many as she possibly could - it was fecking embarrassing, it really was.

No the announcer fella said if you are sat in seats a-b you are entitled to a free pie unless I heard it wrong which is a distinct possibility as I did not hear most of what he said. It just seemed a small town idea IMO

Ah right. I didn't hear that, but to be honest I gave up on the guy pretty much from the off when he was reading the players' names out and I couldn't make out what he was saying.

How much is it on a matchday in there General?

I emailed asking for a price for 2 adults & 2 kids, a lady phoned up and offered it for £55 notes each plus VAT, but the kids could come in for free. (due to the category of the match) So when i weighed it up it would cost us about £80 for 4 seats in the stands, or £130 in the suite - so basically an extra £25 each. which would have easily been swallowed up if we'd have gone for a nosebag on Middlebrook somewhere for the 4 of us. cant fault it.

I'm pleased to announce that ill be taking part in the half time challenge on Satdy, Having watched last weeks piss poor efforts to hit the target i volunteered. Not a 100% on the rules as yet but if i just have to bounce it on it, then im in with a chance. And the £500 will cover the season ticket.

Ill be the Crouchy lookalike, and if I do it then the robot will be done.
