To score goals. But by the looks of it he doesn't do that that regularly
Never get into an argument with an idiot. i'll bring you down to my level and beat you with experience

Can also play in midfield, was released by Everton even though he was supposedly one of their brighter youngsters and Oldham picked him up

I thought Baxter was all but confirmed at Sheff Utd?
''Amazing! Out of nothing Bolton are level. A quick throw, Kevin Nolan keeps play alive in the box and finds Kevin Davies on the left who lashes a shot under Oliver Kahn.''

Theres a blast from the past!
"He's been seen at the training ground, £7m nailed on".
"We must sign him or we'll all die in a giant tsunami".
And suchlike.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

To hold the ball up, up front, run into gaps and stretch the defence, so all our other strikers can bag hatfuls, silly.bobo the clown wrote:What on God's Earth would we be wanting yet another striker for ?

Baxter has talent but is a cock by most reports.
After that long haired wanker from palace kicked off about Bostock (who?) Iirc tribunals award smallish sums plus sell-on %s

Don't be daft, we don't need someone who actually scores, we need them as have a good touch and only get injured when we're losing.Worthy4England wrote:To hold the ball up, up front, run into gaps and stretch the defence, so all our other strikers can bag hatfuls, silly.bobo the clown wrote:What on God's Earth would we be wanting yet another striker for ?

Ha! I wondered where you've been?
Davo isn't a legend because of the periods where he couldn't run.
He was still scoring more than the other useless f*ckers at the start of last year. Then he wasn't, and rightly wasn't playing!

And, to be clear, you absolutely can find place for a non-scoring striker, as long as he contributes massively, and others score. Four top-8 finishes taught us that. Sooner or later, though, someone does need to score.
That wasn't often Davo, granted .

Nobody mentioned Marlon King yet? 29 goals in 67 Championship apps for Birmingham, now on a free.
Granted, he's 33 and a convicted sex offender...

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
All I have heard today up now is we are trying to sort a deal to move someone out on loan and replace with better.
Hopefully that is Mills out and Dawson in.

I couldn't stand watching Diouf play for us and still think he's a wanker. King is on a whole different level. Scum of the earth.
